I found a partially melted pill in the wash. It was a dull yellow on the outside and white with blue flecks on the inside. It is a slow-release schedule 2 controlled substance that is a highly addictive narcotic...especially if not taken according to the directions. Do not crush, chew, abuse or do anything other than swallow the pill whole. It is a painkiller used for moderate to severe pain. Throughout the 8-12 hour period (however your doctor prescribed it) the medication will be released. 40mg oxycontin is equivalent to 8 of the 5mg oxycodone, (without acetaminophen).
