The pill is white, round and has a capital R on one side, and the number 5 on the other side. It is not a small pill. The capital R almost looks like a capital P with a line coming off it to look like an R. I don't know if that's some kind of imprint. ## Hi Selina, The closest match I could locate is identified as Levocetirizine dihydrochloride (5 mg); which is used in the treatment of allergies. This pill has the same imprint of "R" on one side (of a score line) and "5" on the other; but is Elliptical / Oval shaped, as opposed to round. I know some people tend to regard something that's oval as round, so I thought best to double check on this one. For verification, the manufacturer of this pill is Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited. The other side has “xenuciM” printed on it. It seems like Mucinex backwards and spelled wrong. Are there fake Mucinex pills? ## I can't imagine why anyone would try to counterfeit a cheap over-the-counter expectorant such as Mucinex, with very little if any financial incentive. Whereabouts did you get this pill from? Was it found within an existing batch? If so, I wonder if it could simply be an imprint error from the manufacturer... If it were me, I'd probably take it into a local pharmacy for a second opinion because that's definitely not normal. On the other hand, where or how you acquired it could also speak for itself. Please post back if you happen to have any more information.
