Oval Percocet

yellow, oblong/oval pill, cant read one side since its been in my wallet for awhile, the other side clearly says percocet. I just want to be sure its a percocet before i take it as i have had many bad reactions to other pills and this is the one that i have not. I plan on only taking half, which is what i do when i am in extreme pain, yet still need to function, but do not want an adverse reaction if this is not a percocet. I have a white oval pill that says M 582 on one side and is blank on the other side. Could this pill be Percocet? ## I have never seen one like that before, nor heard of it ever being oval. Oxycodone is white, round and either says 512 or endo (depending on the maker). There is aso Roxixet, but I can't remember what it says on it...Hope this helps. Also, it depends on the strength. I have orange oval shaped tablets about the size of a vitamin that were in a clear packet with pink foil that u push them out of. All I could see was /325 on the back of the packet. I am taking oxycodo-APAP 10-325 ,a generic for Percocet. It is an oval shape withM523 on one side and 10/325 on the other. My Dr. said I could split the pill if it is too strong. But there is no score line. Can or should this pill be spit to receive half the dosage? ## The best advice I can give is to listen to what your doctor said. From personal experience when there was no score line on a pill I would still cut in half if it was too strong and simply take half the dose. I don't think you should worry if your doctor gave you the ok to do so. After splitting the pill in half, just be sure to follow your doctors orders on when to take the pill every so many hours.
