Out Of State Script

I have been on Zoloft for several years now. I neglected to bring it with me when I drove down here to Southern California from Nevada, where I live. Can my doctor in Nevada call a prescription for this medication in to a California pharmacy? If possible, please reply ASAP, as I am now out of the medication in question. Thank you. ## California does have laws pertaining to filling out-of-state controlled substances, but since sertraline (zoloft) is not a controlled substance, I don't think you'd run into any problems with your doctor calling it in to a specific pharmacy location, such as CVS, Walgreens and other multi-chain drug stores. I have a paper/written script for norco from my home in MI. I have been a customer at Walgreens for 20+ years and the pharmacy here in GA won't fill it, even though they can see I have been refilling every month for over 3 years. It can vary, depending on the pharmacy's policies, how much they have in stock and etc. Since this is a controlled substance, some pharmacies won't even fill it if someone lives outside of the county they are located in. If the prescriptions have been written by a doctor in Florida and you live there, then it is highly doubtful that a pharmacy in another state will fill them, because that means they are difficult for them to verify and it makes it much easier for someone to doctor and pharmacy hop. A quick call to a pharmacy in that area should provide you with an answer. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## If all you need is a two-week supply of meds, you can ask your doc to authorize an "early refill" if necessary (I don't know when your last scripts were written) IN WRITING & INITIALED and a reputable pharmacy, preferably your regular pharmacy will fill them.

While visiting in PA, I realised that I was going to run out of my Tegretol. Will I be able to refill my prescription in PA? I'm not leaving until Monday. ## You should be, since it is not a controlled substance, but it is up to the pharmacy in question, so you might be better served to check with more than one. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, mood changes, and weight changes. Did you have any luck?

I am having to find a new doctor for my Psychiatric medicines. 3 of those medicines are controlled substances. I live in Kentucky and am going to try going to a doctor in Tennessee I am wanting to know can I get the scripts written in Tennessee filled in Kentucky with no problem?
