I've been taking Losartan for mild hypertension. I also have terrible arthritis in my hips, knees, toes and back. I was fit before, apart from mild hypertension. I could have walked a marathon this time last year. I asked the doctor could it be Losartan, as I loved walking and now am not able to walk much at all. ## What types of symptoms are you experiencing? Can you please post back and clarify? Do you think it is causing the arthritis, or was it something you already had that you think it might be making worse? I hope my question aren't offensive, I am just trying to get to the root of the problem. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Losartan as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, gout, hypotension, diarrhea, and anorexia. ## I definitely believe ...

I have been prescribed Synap Forte for a botched knee op and have been told I need a need replacement but am too young. I must manage my pain through pain killers - hence dr prescribing Synap Forte and Normison. I have a heart murmur and ADD. My pharmacist suggested I ask my GP to prescribe an alternative to Synap as this medicatation is dangerous for both my symptoms. What would you suggest I take. ## i would advice to seek advice for systemic Enzymes ( Revozyme Forte) ## Synap Forte contains Caffeine, Dextropropoxyphene, Diphenhydramine, and Paracetamol, thus in this case, I have to agree with your pharmacist. The Caffeine can aggravate your ADD, according to NIH studies, plus in most countries, Dextropropoxyphene has been pulled from the marked due to the rik it creates of dangerous ...

I was prescribed tramadol five years ago for osteoarthritis in both knees. Took the prescribed amount for almost three years and then started menopause. Tramadol helped so much with all of the symptoms of the menopause, I started to take more and more. The first time I went without was the worst time of my life. I can handle the physical stuff but the depression and feeling that there is nothing to look forward to horrific. The depression that came with the menopause was the reason I started all this. So, headed to withdrawl again with the new laws. Please only words of kindness! I am experiencing all the guilt and shame I can handle! Thanks ## Hello, Mickey! How are you doing? I've been on Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5/325 since 2000, for osteoarthritis. What is the best way to stop taking them? Do I slowly back out of them? I'm in my seventies and I fear the withdrawal symptoms will be too much for me. I'm also concerned that I will suddenly be told I won't be able to take them anymore. Due to the current attitude and caution about opioids, I skipped some doses in order to have extras, in case. I want to have some extra pills available so I can back out of this drug more slowly if this happens. I'd like to be able to stop taking them completely and still have a life and the ability to do things for myself. ## How often are you taking them ? If you are taking them several times a day, you can take 1/2 a tablet instead of a whole tablet for s...

Have been using Mesulid for chronic knee pain from osteoarthritis. It has been the only medication that has stopped the inflammation and pain. I was prescribed from a pharmacy in Greece. Here in the states I can't get it. ## I experienced severe muscle spasms in the States after Physical Therapy for my upper back. We traveled to Greece in August of 2009, a week after the symptoms first appeared, and while I was still in incredible physical pain. A doctor here prescribed Mesulid, until he could see me, once he returned from vacation, 4 days after the prescribed medication. It hasn't been a super drug yet, but it HAS helped lessen my symptoms, and helped me cope a bit better. It has also made me drowsy and yesterday, 2 days after administration, I have a dull headache. However, at...
