I would suggest speaking to your doctor or pharmacist. I am adviced by my ortho to take orcerin gm for 2 yrs for my osteoarthritis. Is it safe? I am already overweight. Will it make me gain more weight? Are there any side effects? I am 74 yrs. Old and have undergone MVR - under Anti Coafulant therapy i.e., I take daily Acitrom and try to maintain normal INR to 2.5. I am also a chronic patient of bronchitis it disturbs the normal ratio of INR to the higher side. My treating doctors could not give if satisfaoctory solution. ## Hello, Jaydev! How are you doing? I am 59 yrs old and having problems like diabetic and knee pain. Doctos advised me to take Orein 60 mg daily. I hav just started the nedicine. Is there any side effects or contradiction with other nedicnes. ## Orcerin contains the active ingredient Diacerein, it is most commonly used to treat Osteoarthritis. The most common side effects, can include: nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and stomach irritation. I take orcerin tab bd for my knee joint. Doctor advised me to take it 6 months continously. I have been advised knee replacement since 2005 but my Gym exercises and sports , albeit pain 24*7 doesn't allow it since I'm just 61 years old and quite healthy.
