Plain orange oblong tablet. No marking ## Hello, Pecos! How are you? If there is are no markings on the tablet then they are not Hydrocodone, which the FDA classifies as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I read many articles claiming that the opiate portion of a Vicodin tablet is in the specks. Any truth? ## Hello, Demetria! How are you? No, it is not true. They colored specks are exactly that, just colored specks that the manufacturer used to make their pills look different than all the others on the market. How a tablet looks is entirely up to their whit and whim. The Medication, however, is dispersed throughout the entire tablet. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

My child was prescribed hydrocodone-apap 7.5-500 soln in an orange liquid. Also on the main bottle with the label that says Cephalexin for Oral Suspension, USP (250 mg/5ml) 100 ml when mixed. And the pharmacy doctor put 2 of 3 in red marker on bottle. I'm confused. Is the orange liquid suppose to make it easier for him to swallow. ## To be honest, I'm a little confused by your post. You're talking about 2 different medications. The Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a narcotic pain reliever, though the Hydrocodone can also help treat couching and the Acetaminophen can help break a fever. The Cephalexin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections. The color really means nothing, but most medications of this type are given to children in liquid form, sinc...

I was just wondering if there is anyone in this forum that lives in the area of Roanake or Orange, Virginia, and if it's a problem getting narcotic medication there, genreally? I'm thinking about moving there but I need my narcotic meds and I don't want to run into problems in getting them when I do move there. Overall, is it a problem there to get prescribed narcotic medication or reatively easy being you do have a "legit" medical issue that warrants their use. I currently live in FL and the laws are changing so fast regarding getting prescription narcotic meds and pharmacies have also changed a lot of their policies in regards to filling them Any help would be appreciated. For some 6-8+ years now, i have been taking 7.5/325 Hydrocodone (HYDROCO/APAP); generic name Qualitest. The pill is colored (pinkish/orange) with a "v" inscribed on one side; not 100% sure of Manufacturer; possibly NORCO or PAR P.; Qualitest has ALWAYS been the most reliable version of Vicodin/Hydrocodone. At any rate, much to my surprise several months ago, i had a script filled but when i opened vial, it was filled with WHITE (Watson) tablets; i was told that Qualitest was no longer available. The next morning (basically every morning) i awakened with a significant amount of pain and got myself up to take my normal/regular dose but after more than enough time for what would have relieved the pain; i felt NO relief whatsoever; after a second pill, i started to feel nauseous and...

Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, it's not available in capsules on the manufactured pharmaceutical market, it's only available as tablets. Learn more Norco details here. This last prescription I got were white tablets with little green specs - one side has the letter V and the other side has 3594. I have only taken solid white tablets in the past for Hydrocodone Pills ## Hi Sandra, The one's marked V 3594 are simply made by a different manufacturer than what most people are used to seeing. Oblong white pills definitely seem to be the most commonly prescribed versions, while there are yellow, blue, pink, orange and green tablets as well. I've also seen the white ones with red specs. Keep in mind though that these colors and/or shapes are always subject to change depending upon the discretion of the manufacturer. I hope this helps!
