What does each ingredient in this generic 8mg orange pill specifically do for you? Buprenorphine & Naloxone? I have no idea what they were made for and specifically suppose to do for you? ## Hello, Manny! How are you? This medication is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, although it does help some people with pain, as well. The Buprenorphine is an opiate and the Naloxone is included, because it can neutralize other opiates, to prevent someone being able to abuse them, while being treat with it. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Has anyone ever seen a red film strip? It's supposed to be a generic ...

I've always gotten the orange Amneal marked AN 415. Recently in the past few months the main pharmacy I was using Walgreens were telling me that they were out of those kind and I had to look for pharmacies that did have them after receiving the white Actavis brand which was the worst switch! I just looked right next door to Safeways who did have them. Eventually Walgreens told me they were no longer going to be getting those kind after telling me that they were on "back order" for so long. The pharmacist who is usually nice was a jerk about it also. So I moved permanently (or so I hoped) to Safeway but the last 2 months they too ran out and were allot nicer in telling me that they have been having a hard time ordering the Amneal orange ones and that they might not be getting...

Does anyone know when a generic suboxone will be available ## Suboxone first received FDA approval in 2002 and the exclusivity patent will run out on August 30, 2013, but the doesn't necessarily mean that a generic will become available at that time. Learn more Suboxone details here. Are you having trouble affording this medication? ## The generic suboxone came out in February of this year..2013. I know this because i have them. They are white, have a half-moon on one side, and 155 on the other. They are much harder than the Orange tabs making them easier to break & proportion. Hope this helps.

They now have generic Suboxone pills, but I do not want the generic pills. Am I going to still be able to purchase the original Suboxone orange octagon shaped "original non generic" pills when I get my prescription filled? My pharmacy has the new generics in, but I do not want generic Suboxone. I want the original ones! ## From what I've read, there have been some complications with the manufacturers who distribute Suboxone and the regular ones may not be available right now. There isn't a lot of pertinent information about this issue that I can find, so you may have to look around for some other pharmacies. I wish I could be of more help! If anyone else knows more about this topic, please share!

Since I've been taking this new generic suboxone 54 375 it make my arms and hands hurt!! I've been taking suboxone for 3 years now, and I've been switched to most everyone that's came out. I was taking the orange with AN 415 on them. It's now been 7 days and everyday it does the same, causes pain in my arms and hands. Then as the suboxone wears off they stop hurting. I know it sounds weird but I swear it's the truth!!! Anyone else having problems with this new generic suboxone 54 375?? Please comment!! ## Hello, Barry! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. It really doesn't make much sense, to be quite honest. If the new tablet was a little lower in the amount of the active ingredient, since there can be fluctuations, I'd at...

i have been taking the original orange suboxin for about 1 year and a half.went to the pharmacy to fill my suboxin script and recieved the generic suboxin.i did try them and 1 it taste worse to me than the orange suboxin and 2 it barelly worked for me.i have been having slight withdrawls and it has barelly helped at all.how do i get the original suboxin back.i cant teke those generic.they are horrible!! ## If you have insurance, most companies demand that you be given a generic first, if one is available. So, if this is applicable, then you'll need to inform your doctor of the problem, because they can designate your prescription as 'brand medically necessary', in order to get them to cover the name brand for you, again. The other alternative, if you're paying for it you...

I have found that the round orange Suboxone does not seem to be as strong as the 6 sided Suboxone....anybody have this experience? ## Hi Rick, I personally haven't had that same experience with this medication, but I am aware of the fact that certain inactive ingredients (that may or may not be present in each brand), are accountable for the overall efficacy of the drug itself. Whether it be dyes, propylene glycol, or corn starch, many of these kinds of fillers do have a large impact on how well the drug is metabolized and used by your body. If this is your first time switching over to another manufacturer's version of Suboxone, you may want to consider giving other generics/brands a chance to see if you have a better reaction. You can learn more about this drug on the page for ...

I was given a pill and told it was suboxone, it has a big AN on the top and 415 under the letters. There is nothing on the back. Its orange and completely round ## That is correct, this tablet contains 8mgs of Buprenorphine and 2mgs of Naloxone, it is a generic for Suboxone, which is most commonly used to help treat drug addiction. Learn more Suboxone details here. Since it contains an opiate narcotic, it does have the potential to be habit forming itself and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is it also taken sublingual? ## Yes, that is the new generic form of suboxone. I just recently got them too. I had a bad experience with them though. They did not work for me like the brand name suboxone. Not...

A friend was given an orange jell type med an told its suboxone, has anyone ever seen this? An what are they really ## Yes, there is a Suboxone that meets this description, they are usually thin, orange strips. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I can't say for sure that's what your friend received, but there are some available like that. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My son is addicted to H. my friend told me about subs. he has no insurance so I get them off the street which is hard. I was on the generic suboxone pill the round orange AN 415 tablet when I went to pick up my remaining partial perscription I saw that the pharmacist handed me a completely different pill it was the new pink/peach 54/375 tablet I immediately questioned this pill wondering if in fact it would be as good! Well I took the first one tonight and I feel they work much better for me I agree with many others on this forum it's all mainly the way the body metabolizes it in my opinion it's like different strokes for different folks! ## Glad to hear that this newer tablet is working well for you. I know it can often times be a gamble when you go to the pharmacy frequently and expect to get the same thing every single time, only to be given what's left in the shuffle. Thankfully getting ...

I am prescribed the 2mg Actavis bupe/nalox tabs. the ones with a moon on one side and 154 on the other. i like these they kick in sooner feel a bit stronger than a 2mg suboxone tablet. also i prefer the taste. What are other peoples expeience with the two generics. im especially curious about the new orange amneal tabs as ive heard mixed reviews. id like opinions on both ## @Jeremy, Although I don't have any personal experience with this drug, I thought it might be helpful to redirect you to a more active discussion thread on Suboxone, while you're waiting in the meantime... I have a round orange pill with AN on the top and 415 underneath. I'm pretty sure its a generic suboxone, but how do I take it? Do I swallow it or let it dissolve under my tongue? ## Hi Teresa, Just to confirm, the round orange pill in description is in fact a generic Suboxone tablet; containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine + 2mgs of Naloxone. Manufacturer: Amneal Pharmaceuticals As far as proper dosing goes, the guidelines state that sublingual tablets should be placed under the tongue until it is completely dissolved. Apparently, swallowing the tablets can reduce the bioavailability of the drug itself. However, you may want to discuss this more with your doctor first, since dosing instructions can be somewhat patient specific, depending on the case. You can learn more about this drug on ...

My Caresource Insurance Stopped Paying For Strips And Now My Pharmacy Gives Me 8mg White / Round Generic Pills Which Insurance Covers. Is There Any Way I Can Get The Orange Octagon N8 Pills? Does Anyone Know What Pharmacy Might Give These And Will Caresource Pay For Them In Ohio. Are They Better? ## I'm on the films and I prefer them to the pills. And no you can't get the stop sign shaped pills by reckitt anymore as they phased them out a few years ago due to "children safety" when there is no evidence backing this up which is why they are facing a mega legal suit from the FDA. You can get generic pills however but not generic films as those are only brand name. I tried the generic pills and didn't care for em so I take an 8mg strip a day and have for years and never...

I was taking Suboxone films for over two years and they worked incredibly well for me. This month I was switched over to the generic Suboxone tablets (the orange, round AN 415) because my insurance will no longer pay for the films. I am already having plenty of issues with the new medication. First of all, it takes over 1.5 hours for one tab to dissolve under the tongue. I take two 8/2mg tabs, so it takes over 3 hours a day to take these meds. It doesn't even dissolve completely after this time frame; it just turns into a large, thick pile of paste that sits under my tongue and between my bottom teeth. The taste is nauseating, especially when it is sitting in my mouth for over three hours. Either the dosage is not the same as the films, or these tabs are not absorbing correctly, bec...

Am I going to still be able to purchase the original Suboxone orange octagon shaped "original non generic" pills when I get my prescription filled? My pharmacy has the new generics in, but I do not want generic Suboxone. I want the original ones! ## Hi, Chrissy! I understand your concern, some people do have problems with generic medications. To avoid getting a generic, you need to ask your doctor to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary' or to not check the substitutions permitted box, to sign on that line, or whatever one of the various methods your state uses. If that's not done, it is normal for your pharmacy to give you a generic, unless your paying cash and request otherwi...

I wason the AN 415 orange generic suboxone tablets and for no reason at all other than to cut their ordering costs Rite Aide just switched to the 93/5721 generic suboxone tablets they are no where near as good I have diarrhea, nausea, irritability and high blood pressure after switching to the Teva brand. The pharmacy swears the tablets are the same milligrams and same active ingredients, but I highly disagree. I was slowly tapering down on the orange AN 415 but since being put on these I can't do that any longer. I usually don't complain when insurance was covering it but I am disabled and only get $630 a month since I'm paying $301 out of pocket for them each month I expect the best. ## Wow! I am questioning a pill. The doc said to my friend it is a new suboxone however i cannot locate it anywhere. Its is a round orange pill with an orange flavor with the imprint of a dagger on one side i think and i cant see what the other side says. it may have a coating of sorts on it. Has anyone heard of this new suboxone shape? ## normal suboxone 8mg tablet is kindof big, octogon shape with small cross shape on one side as well. It is not a "new" suboxone tablet, however. If you bring it to any pharmacist and show it, they will confirm what it is. They won't take it from you either. Hope this helped. who has been suboxone CVS or walgreens.I know thwy are generic but which is better of the two ## You're really asking a subjective question, because a generic that works well for one person may not work that well for you and vice-versa. What you really need to discover is which one works best for you. Learn more Suboxone details here. Have you had problems with any that you've tried? ## Walgreens or CVS has the exact same thing when it comes to suboxen, not sure what dose you are on but an 8mg suboxen strip will have 6mg of buprenorphine and 2mg of naloxone. ## The difference between the two....
