Am using oralcon for the first time. I just wanted to know when will I have my periods because I am now taking the red pill, am on the 3rd pill, but still nothing. Am now worried, can I be pregnant? ## Usually when you first start taking birth control, it's contraceptive effects generally don't take full effect until the first couple weeks or month after you begin treatment. Although I think this long time frame/waiting period may vary according to the brand. I'm not sure if your doctor or gynecologist also mentioned this, but irregular periods and missed periods are common side effects associated with these types of medications. This is largely due to the fluctuation in hormone levels, which ultimately have a direct impact on your menstrual cycles. Have you taken a pregnanc...

Hi...I'm 21 years old and have been ttc since 2012!this is my second day of taking oralcon pills, the doctor told me it could help with finally conceiving...anyone have any thoughts on this?I hve had tests done and it showed I am ovulating every month!I have a 3month supply of these pills ## Contraceptives are not going to help you conceive, they prevent pregnancy. You won't get pregnant while taking these. Your doctor may have given them to you in hopes that suppressing ovulation for a few months may increase the chances of your getting pregnant, once you're done taking them and you ovulate, again. Is there anything else I can help with? ## That's my thoughts as well!My grandmother took 4 years to fall pregnant with her and but my mom had no problems at all do u think it...

Hey. I forgot to take a white pill a couple days ago but remembered to take it and took it about 5 hours later than i usually do. Will it still be effective? How big can the time gap be before its no use to take it late? Thanx ## Hi, Isa! How are you? Yes, that's basically just taking it late. Missing a pill is usually considered a gap of 24 hours or more, from when you were supposed to take it. So, if you normally take it at 10am, but forgot and didn't realize it until the following day at 10am, when you went to take that one, it would be considered a missed pill. You should double check this information with your doctor, but that's usually the way it works. :-) Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi i started using Oralcon birth control pills yesterday, i started th...

Im using oralcon contraceptive pills. im gaining weight... what can help me not to gain? ## Hi, Boikhutso! Sorry about the problem that you're having. However, there really isn't going to be much you can do about the weight change, as long as you're taking the Oralcon. It contains a synthetic estrogen and those very commonly cause women to gain weight. If you feel that you're gaining to much on this one, you may wish to talk to your doctor about trying a different one. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Even if you join gym. You cant get back to your weight before taking the pills. ## hi I slept with my boyfriend without a condom and was on my period so after 2 days of sleeping with him I started using oralcon. ..will they be affective or I am just waisting my ti...

Please Help!!! ## I'm sorry, but there's no way to know for sure if they will or will not help you with acne. These contraceptives use synthetic hormones, they can help some people with acne if theirs has been caused by a hormonal issue. However, there is also a chance that they can cause acne or make it worse. What has your doctor advised? Hey there , im not 100% sure on how oralcon works . Do you just keep taking the white pill until your period starts(even if its more then 21 days) and then move to the red(when it starts) or take the pack accordingly even if your period has not finished or started as yet , i have been taking the white pill for a month and 2 weeks and i still have not started my period, is this because i have not started the red pill even though im not on my period? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? When you're taking an oral contraceptive, your period is actually a withdrawal bleed, due to not having any hormones that week. So, you take the active tablets for 21 days, then the red for a week, to allow the withdrawal bleed (your period) to occur. Once finished with the red tablets, you go back to taking ...

I have started using oralcon contraceptive pill, I wanna know how they work ## HI, Tshepo! How are you? Oralcon is a hormonal based contraceptive, so they work by adding certain amounts of synthetic estrogen and progesterone to your body to prevent ovulation from occurring each month. That's why you have to take one each day, for 3 weeks until your menstruation week, if you don't, then the drop in hormones may allow ovulation to happen which makes it possible for you to get pregnant. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Do I drink this pills during my menstruation week ## Hi, i would like to know how long it takes for the Oralcon birthcontrol pill to be out of my system / body. ## does oralcon cause abnominal pains? am using oralcon for about 3mnths nw nd i alwyz hv pains ...

I've been taking my pills on time and using condoms to be safe. I've been experiencing swollen breasts and they are very sensitive. I've been getting migraines usually a sign in due for my period. I'm very worried. Please help ## Late or skipped periods can be a side effect or hormonal contraceptives and usually aren't anything to worry about. Hi, my chemist sister did not have nordette in stock and said that oralcon is exactly the same as nordette and supplied me with 3 months supply. However, I have been semi bleeding as in brown and black blood from day 4 of taking these tablets- every single day. Some days a sudden blob of red blood came. I took my last white tablet today and have been wearing a sanitary pad whole way thru. Suppose to start with my normal period tomorrow. Is this normal? my system is very confused at the moment. ## Hello, Heloise! How are you? Has there been any change? That can be a side effect of taking oral contraceptives, according to the U.S. FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. Hi. I've been using oralcon for a while now, I have missed it for 3 days and had intercourse on the first day I've missed it. I again started taking it after the third day of missing it and now I seem to be having my periods or just spotting. Could I be pregnant and is this normal? ## Hello, Walles! How are you doing? Yes, if you miss several tablets in a row, it is normal to spot or experience a full menstrual flow. That's actually how your period is induced, when you're taking hormonal contraceptives, it's a withdrawal bleed, the week of pills when you have your period have no active ingredients. And yes, it you missed several in a row and had intercourse, then there is a chance you could be pregnant. If you want to restart them now, you'll need to check to mak...
