They shouldn't cause vaginal itching. That sounds more like you may have a yeast infection. You need to be seen and have it checked out to get the proper medication to clear it up. The side effects, if they occur, can start within a few days and last 2 to 3 months, since these are hormonal based contraceptives. They may include nausea, dizziness, breakthrough bleeding/spotting, headaches and weight changes. However, you may not experience any of them, some people do and some people don't. Am using oralcon for the first time. I just wanted to know when will I have my periods because I am now taking the red pill, am on the 3rd pill, but still nothing. Am now worried, can I be pregnant? ## Usually when you first start taking birth control, it's contraceptive effects generally don't take full effect until the first couple weeks or month after you begin treatment. Although I think this long time frame/waiting period may vary according to the brand. I'm not sure if your doctor or gynecologist also mentioned this, but irregular periods and missed periods are common side effects associated with these types of medications. This is largely due to the fluctuation in hormone levels, which ultimately have a direct impact on your menstrual cycles. Have you taken a pregnanc...

Period changes can happen when you're taking hormonal contraceptives, some women don't have periods, at all, while on them. Have you had this checked out by your doctor? When you say thick, do you mean there are clots in it? Hold old are you? I started using Oralcon-F pills 14 hours after intimacy. We didn't use protection. Is there any chance that I can get pregnant? I had never taken contraceptive pills before. ## Yes, if you are only taking one pill a day, then there is still a risk of pregnancy. To be effective, these must be taken daily for at least 7 days, before engaging in intercourse. There are some that you can take in higher doses, after intercourse, to help prevent pregnancy, but that most be done within the first 24 hours to have the best results and within 5 days to still be somewhat effective at prevention. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and irregular bleeding. Have you done a check for pregnancy? ## Tanong ko lng ho.ang paggamit ng ho...

I accidentally drank my white pill while on my period (Supposed to drink red) without thinking. What do i do? just go on finishing my red pill and then start as usual whit white? will i be unsafe? ## In most cases, a doctor will just have you continue taking the rest, as you should, but it is always best to consult them to be sure. Did you experience any problems? ## Hi. I have gone on the Depo injection about 3 weeks ago and have been getting me periods non stop. I was advised to drink the white Oralcon Pill for a day or 2. Many women do so, when it would be inconvenient to have a period, such as if they are getting married, going on vacation, or etc. But there are no guarantees that it will work. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, weight changes, and PMS-like symptoms. Are there any other questions? ## Wanting to know. Hi I'm using oralcon since the beginning of this year an last week I started feeling dizzy And my mouth feels watery an I'm feeling Lil nausea an very tired. I do smoke an sister told me I shud smoke less or stop smoking cause oralcon an smoking is not a good combination. can that be the reason why I feel so sick? ## Hello, Smiley! How are you? No, not likely. Smoking on these contraceptives creates the risk of blood clots, not the symptoms you're describing. Is it possible that you've just caught a virus or something? Have you had this checked out with your physician? Are you still having these symptoms?

Hi there, I've been using Oralcon for the past two years. I stopped using it at the beginning of December and I do not use any contraceptive pills since then as my husband and I are trying for our 2nd baby. Since I stopped with the Oralcon the beginning of December, I didn't got my period up to now. Is this a normal side-effect from Oralcon? ## Hello, Peanut! How are you? It can take a couple months for your body to rebalance your hormones on its own, when you stop a hormonal contraceptive, but usually only about 3 months. Other withdrawal effects, as listed by the FDA, may also include dizziness, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. However, going beyond a few months is unusual and something you should have checked out to discover what's going on. Is there anything else I ca...

Can you please tell me if this is normal or if I should consult my doctor??? ## Hello, Didi! How are you? The spotting can be a normal side effect of oral contraceptives, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms. The other symptoms, however, are not and it sounds like you may have an infection and, if so, it would require medical treatment, so you should have this checked out. I am using oralcon contraception, but since the beginning of April i haven't seen my period. Is it possible to get pregnant while on this? ## All oral contraceptives carry a slight risk of still getting pregnant. I believe it could be a 1-10% estimated possibility depending on the brand; but in my opinion that merits reason enough to use another form of protection. Irregular periods however, are a general side effect of these types of medications; so it's not always something to be overly concerned about. This may simply be due to a fluctuation in your hormones. To make using oral contraceptives as safe and reliable as possible, you should understand how and when to take them and what side effects may be expected. A paper with information for the patient should've been given...

Hi,i started using oralcon 21days ago and today i have to take the red 1,so i have been spotting the whole month is that normal? ## Hello, Baby! How are you? Yes, spotting and other side effects can be normal for about the first 3 months, since your body has to adjust to the hormones in this contraceptive. You should always consult your doctor about any unusual bleeding, just to be safe and make sure it is only from the contraceptive, but most women do experience some, when first starting them.
