Am using oralcon for the first time. I just wanted to know when will I have my periods because I am now taking the red pill, am on the 3rd pill, but still nothing. Am now worried, can I be pregnant? ## Usually when you first start taking birth control, it's contraceptive effects generally don't take full effect until the first couple weeks or month after you begin treatment. Although I think this long time frame/waiting period may vary according to the brand. I'm not sure if your doctor or gynecologist also mentioned this, but irregular periods and missed periods are common side effects associated with these types of medications. This is largely due to the fluctuation in hormone levels, which ultimately have a direct impact on your menstrual cycles. Have you taken a pregnanc...

I am using oralcon contraception, but since the beginning of April i haven't seen my period. Is it possible to get pregnant while on this? ## All oral contraceptives carry a slight risk of still getting pregnant. I believe it could be a 1-10% estimated possibility depending on the brand; but in my opinion that merits reason enough to use another form of protection. Irregular periods however, are a general side effect of these types of medications; so it's not always something to be overly concerned about. This may simply be due to a fluctuation in your hormones. To make using oral contraceptives as safe and reliable as possible, you should understand how and when to take them and what side effects may be expected. A paper with information for the patient should've been given...

How are you? It could take about three months or so, before you actually ovulate and can possibly get pregnant. The hormonal contraceptives that you were using work by suppressing ovulation and it will take a bit for your body to balance things back out naturally. Have you consulted your doctor?

I have started using oralcon contraceptive pill, I wanna know how they work ## HI, Tshepo! How are you? Oralcon is a hormonal based contraceptive, so they work by adding certain amounts of synthetic estrogen and progesterone to your body to prevent ovulation from occurring each month. That's why you have to take one each day, for 3 weeks until your menstruation week, if you don't, then the drop in hormones may allow ovulation to happen which makes it possible for you to get pregnant. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Do I drink this pills during my menstruation week ## Hi, i would like to know how long it takes for the Oralcon birthcontrol pill to be out of my system / body. ## does oralcon cause abnominal pains? am using oralcon for about 3mnths nw nd i alwyz hv pains ...

I've been using Oralcon for over 2 years, I'm very happy with it. The other day I by accidently started on the wrong side (ie: didn't go according to the arrow indicated), but only noticed when I needed to take the 2nd pill. So I carried on, thinking it was the correct thing to do, but I'm not so sure. Do I keep going backwards for this week and start the new line as per the arrows, or do I start the line again? I'm really nervous that I've screwed up the whole cycle and have opened myself up to becoming pregnant. Please help!! ## Hello, Blondie! How are you? There is no need to worry, it doesn't matter which day you take which tablet, they are all the same and have the same amount of hormones in them. The only week that is different is your period week, thos...

Hi. I've been using oralcon for a while now, I have missed it for 3 days and had intercourse on the first day I've missed it. I again started taking it after the third day of missing it and now I seem to be having my periods or just spotting. Could I be pregnant and is this normal? ## Hello, Walles! How are you doing? Yes, if you miss several tablets in a row, it is normal to spot or experience a full menstrual flow. That's actually how your period is induced, when you're taking hormonal contraceptives, it's a withdrawal bleed, the week of pills when you have your period have no active ingredients. And yes, it you missed several in a row and had intercourse, then there is a chance you could be pregnant. If you want to restart them now, you'll need to check to mak...

I started using Oralcon-F pills 14 hours after intimacy. We didn't use protection. Is there any chance that I can get pregnant? I had never taken contraceptive pills before. ## Yes, if you are only taking one pill a day, then there is still a risk of pregnancy. To be effective, these must be taken daily for at least 7 days, before engaging in intercourse. There are some that you can take in higher doses, after intercourse, to help prevent pregnancy, but that most be done within the first 24 hours to have the best results and within 5 days to still be somewhat effective at prevention. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and irregular bleeding. Have you done a check for pregnancy? ## Tanong ko lng ho.ang paggamit ng ho...

Hi. I'm using oralcon for 4 months now and sometimes I forget to take the active ones, so I end up changing times or skipping doses. Is it possible for me to get pregnant? ## Hello, Bunny! How are you? Yes, if you completely skip some tablets, then it is possible for you to get pregnant. They need to be taken every day to protect you from pregnancy, because they work by preventing ovulation. Changing the time isn't a big deal, you can usually take one within a few hours of when you should and still be fine, but missing them leaves you unprotected. Is there some way you could leave a reminder for yourself to take one each day, at the same time? ## I took an emergency contraceptive 3 days after my period. I want to take advantage of my ovulation to get pregnant after a recent chan...

I am 20 year old my period use to come not monthly but it skips month then it stop coming....I haven seen my period for a year now and I would like to get pregnant ...am using oralcon f hormonal contraceptive... Will this help me ## You will not be able to get pregnant while taking a contraceptive, however, it can help regulate your natural hormones to increase your chances of getting pregnant, in the future, when you stop taking it, according to the NIH. How long have you been taking the Oralcon?

I had an emergency pill about 3 weeks before i started using the Oralcon pills, and took my 1st pill on the 2nd day of my menstruation, although my periods were not normal because of the emergency pill, but i still had my periods at that time, with less bleeding than usual. I'm on my 3rd pack of the Oralcon pills now, and i never had any periods since my 2nd pack, even when I'm on the red pills. I'm worried now, i want my periods back. Is there any possibility that I'm pregnant? I never skipped any pills and i always took them at the same time everyday. Or its it because i started using the Oralcon pills with abnormal periods? Please help.. ## Hello, Judith! How are you? Some women just don't have periods while taking hormonal contraceptives like this, there's no...

Hi i am a 23yr old and started using the oralcon pill for the past 3weeks now. I was recently on the 2 month injection for almost 6years i have been off the injection for a year now and would like to have another child is it true that the pill speeds up the process faster if used for a certain time and how long will it take for me t o fall pregnant if i discontinue the use of the oralcon pill..... ## I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. What process is it being said to speed up? If it's the ability to get pregnant, then no, that it not correct. Oral contraceptives work by suppressing ovulation, so no egg is released and after you stop taking them, it will take a month or more for your body to start ovulating again on its own.

Hi,ive been using oralcon for6 months And I want to know that how long does it stays in a body and can I get pregnant while using them and what are the side effect when using them.and I want to try for a baby.tnx ## No, you cannot get pregnant while taking them daily, they are an oral contraceptive that prevents pregnancy. If you stop taking them, it may still take a couple of months for natural ovulation to occur again, so you can get pregnant. Since it contains synthetic hormones, side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, loss of libido and weight gain. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## My periods haven't been here for 2months now,I was last on oralcon some 5months ago.I'm wondering why my periods have stopped indefinitely when they were regular and...

Hi, i stopped using the oralcon on the 8th of October 2019. I was bleeding for 5 days there after. In November i had my period for two days and in December i had it for 3 days. All three months i was bleeding very little not even to fill a pad but when i urinate and wipe myself there will be a lot of blood on the tissue. In Dec i had my period for three days on the 16th until the 18th and on the 21st of December i had a little blood and discharge on my underwear. Can i be pregnant ## If you have had periods, it is not likely that you are pregnant. Since Oralcon is a hormonal contraceptive, stopping it can cause your body's hormone levels to be off balance, for awhile, which may result in irregular periods, and changed levels of bleeding. It can take a few months for your body to reg...

I was using petogen as my contraception for about a year and then i discontinued using it for about 3 months now. I was bleeding for this past 3 months and then the nurse suggested that I must use the oralcon. It's been 5 days now and i have already missed two of them and i was intimate with my partner. Is there any risk of falling pregnant because i never used protection? Plz help. ## Hello, Bianca! How are you? Yes, there is, so it would be best to have yourself checked for pregnancy to be sure. The typical side effects of oral contraceptives may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am using the oralcon teplets and I am now on the forth red pill and still I am not on my piriods culd I be pregnent? ## If you've been engaging in intercourse, there is always a small risk of getting pregnant, regardless of what contraceptive method you use. However, there is a bigger chance that you're just late or skipping your period due to the hormones. Have you consulted your doctor? ## No I have not consalt the doctor yet but I am planning to get a pregnency test so I can see if I am pregnent or not! So if I am not pregnent do I continue taking the white pill evin if I dint go to my piriods?

I've been using petogen consistently for 6 months now which is 2 shots. Seven weeks into the second shot I had unprotected intercourse and I'm experiencing excessive hunger these days... Could I be pregnant? ## Not likely, as long as you made sure to receive your shots on time. It is a long-term contraceptive that contains Medroxyprogesterone. The NIH does warn that it can cause increased hunger, weight gain, nausea, irregular bleeding, and headache. Are you on any other medications? ## I'm not on any other medication. I have another question, if I go for a shot a week later than prescribed, would it be much of a problem? ## Hello. My girlfriend was on the Oralcon 4th red pill and she went to opt for the Petogen shot, but she sees her periods. Is she still protected or could...
