Any One Know Any Suboxone Dr.s Close To Indy Taking MDwise- HIP? ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? You can use the search engine on the Suboxone website to look for doctors in your area that treat with it. You can find it at Suboxone.com click here. You can search by zip code and the doctor's contact information will be included, so you can check to see if they accept your insurance and are taking new patients. all of the opiates are secretly being reduced. in drugs that are combined with aspirin Tylenol such as lortab the 7.5mg is no longer made, with doctors not even knowing this. it is the 5mg that is the strongest. the tylanol is not reduced. people in chronic severe pain will not get the relief they are expecting and take more not realizing the toxic effect Tylenol has on the liver. they are also reducing the amount of opiates a dr. can prescribe a month. when the unwinnable war on drugs turns torture and possible liver death we the people need to stand up and scream for the people in to much agony to fight. only 10% of people are junkies, which includes alcoholics.they are born with a chemical imbalance that drives them to abuse whatever substance or behavior. we need to take back our mon...

Why do you think docs prescribe Suboxone or Methadone for opiate withdrawal, make patients stay on it until they are completely addicted to it for years, then have to treat them to come off it? Why don't they treat a 5 day opiate withdrawal with a benzo to sleep, clonidine, gabapentin, trazodone for a week or two instead. It would sure help society not be addicted to Suboxone. Worst drug ever. ## Most people, even if they are addicted, can't just take a ton of medications to try and sleep through their withdrawals and be out of work for that length of time. Treatment with Suboxone or Methadone enables them to still work and be productive, while undergoing addiction treatment and, unlike Methadone, Suboxone usually enables most people to eventually become completely drug free, al...

I have been doing one bag a day of H for the past few months; before that I was doing 2 roxy 30's a day. I haven't used anything since Saturday afternoon ( it is now Monday evening). However I did take 8mg of Suboxone on Sunday around 6 am (39 hours ago?) because the shakes were too bad and I thought I would lose my mind. I was wondering if it is possible to keep using a small dose of Suboxone if the wd's get too bad? Or is it just prolonging the WD's. I don't want be on anything for the long term. I am honestly hoping to get rid of the physical symptoms by the end of this week. Is that possible? What can I do to help? ## U usually have 2 take the suboxone when w/d start. R u prescribed the suboxone or just getting them from where ever? My suggestion would b 2 follow...

I've been on oxycodone 15mgs 4 times a day for about 4 months due to a pancreatic pseudocyst and multiple surgeries. My health has dramatically gotten better but I still suffer from scar tissue damage from all the surgeries and E.R.C.P's. I feel that i wont be needing the pain medicine any longer? So my question is what is the best method to stop the oxycodone without the terrible withdrawal? And are Benzodiazepines a good choice? If so, which ones work most effectively and how should i dose them? Plz help, because just the thought of stopping the oxycodone causes major anxiety and panic attacks. Also i no longer have a Dr. who prescribes narcotics or subutex\suboxone.. No doctor will consider giving me any habit forming substance. Please help with any and all suggestions, ty! #...

Do the light green bupropion pills help with opiate withdrawals? ## Bupropion is classifies by the FDA as an antidepressant that is also used to aid in smoking cessation. In order for it to work, it must be taken regularly for several weeks. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and insomnia. That said, no, it likely won't do much to help with withdrawals. I think you may be thinking of Buprenorphine, the active ingredient in Subutex and coupled with Naloxone in Suboxone. It is used to treat drug addition. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## They can help some. No...

I am withdrawing off of methadone. Ii have been tapering down from 80 mg to about 5 to 8 mgs a day. I take gabapentin for restless leg that started when i got down to 10 mgs. But doctor wants to taper me off of gaba b4 i finished methadone. I dont know why he is doing this but i did get clonodines .1 mg once a day at night from him since i hav to hurry up with methadone now cause actually i had to increase gaba for it to continue working and now i have even less gaba. So my question is how long does it take for clonodines to work and is only once a day enough? ## Clonidine usually tends to have some effect shortly after taking it, generally within 20 to 30 minutes, so some people do take it on an as needed basis, rather than taking it all the time. Ref: Medline Plus Clonidine It is ofte...

Hello. I was on percocet, oxycodone, and opana for 4 yrs, then got on a suboxone treatment plan, and was stuck on the never ending train ride of trying to get off suboxone effectively and for good...... And I DID!! NOT 1 single withdrawal, none!!! And the god sent was Imodium (Loperamide) 2mg of an opioid (NOT OPIATE) little green (off brand) pill, saved my life, my sanity, my kids upbringing and my relationship w/everyone around me...... I tapered as small as I could as quick as i could (Dr office was shutting its door for good) I wanted to be done. Day ..1. of withdrawal I took 30mg of Imodium and I didn't feel bad, just no energy, no biggie, later that night i felt uneasy and restless, so I decided to take another 30mg and slept all through the night!!! Next morning day 2 woke up...

Does gabapentin help at all with opiate withdrawals? Does it make it at all any more comfortable? ## It may help alleviate some of the symptoms and prevent the risk of possible seizures, according to FDA reports. Has your doctor prescribed it for you? Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight changes. Are you on any other medications? ## I've been off methadone for 9 days and I took 3 Co-codamol. Will that make my withdrawals even worse? Also, does gabapentin help with opiate withdrawal? ## Hello, I am currently on day 6 of being off opiates after a 60-80mg (give or take a day) habit for 2 years... My first 2 days I didn't use anything to cope with withdrawals. Over the next 3 days, I took 900mg of gabapentin, 600mg of gab...

Hi all, I'm desperately seeking advice. I have decided to come off opiates. I had my last little bit at around 1pm today. The problem is, I have two young babies so it's impossible for me to look after them while in bad withdrawals. The only thing I have to help is Suboxone. Can someone tell me the best way to use the Suboxone to stop/ease the withdrawals? I know I will have to suffer to a certain extent and I understand that I have to wait a while before taking my subs but, please give me the best, most painless way to do this, keeping in mind that I have a two year old and a four month old baby boy whom I still have to take care of on my own while doing this. Please help. ## Getting into a rehab program is the best, but I understand your situation. Try using Kratom. There are ...

Going thru bad withdrawl from opiates, someone said they have noroton & it will take away all symptoms. Can this be true? ## Hi dee, Sorry to hear about the bad withdrawals you've been experiencing. Did you mean to say "Neurontin" by chance? I haven't found anything by the name of noroton. Neurontin (Gabapentin) however, was originally developed for the treatment of epilepsy, but is currently widely used to relieve neuropathic pain. I cannot guarantee how effective it is for managing certain withdrawal symptoms (since it's not indicated for this purpose), but I'd imagine that results could vary for each individual and their particular set of symptoms. Was this person a doctor or credible source who told you that it works for all symptoms? I'm not doubting...

So, I had a terrible opiate problem. Tried to quit cold turkey, was too sick, and had to do a 4 day taper. Anyway, I'm getting the naltrexone implant tomorrow, I'm only 3 days off my taper. Anyway, my question is, my doctor wants me to start with a 1/4 pill so its in my system. Now, I know I'm going to get even more sick. I've accepted that. My question is, how long will I be sick before it starts to feel better? Is it like Suboxone and after 1-2 hours, you're feeling quite a bit better, orrr...? Thanks! ## Hello, Kristen! How are you? Generally, about 3 days is the recommend time frame, to avoid severe precipitated withdrawals, so in theory, things shouldn't get much worse, but we are all different, so there are no guarantees. And no, it has little effect on opi...

I've tried every sleeping med both OTC and prescription. I'm so exhausted I'm wondering why I quit taking the oxycontin/oxycodone. I know that sounds bad but I'm so tired of feeling like this. I feel suicidal sometimes and depressed most of the time. I know it's just exhaustion and I keep reading that it gets better but honestly I don't know how much more I can take... ## Hello, Robin! How are you? If it's been a month, you should turn the corner soon and start to see an improvement. I'm saying this from experience, too. I was on pain management for years and quit cold turkey. It all really does get better shortly after the one month mark. Have you considered trying an antidepressant for a few weeks to help? They are not habit forming and may really help ...

how long do you have to wait to start taking subs or zubsolv, how sick do you have to be? Can I cut the pill in have I don't know if I need a whole one ## Hello, Pen! How are you? You should follow your doctor's instructions for starting it. You need to be in full withdrawals, otherwise the Naloxone in this medication could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. They are not time released, so they can be cut to lower the dosage, if your prescriber approves. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been abusing vicodin and percocet for over 7 years. I'm fed up with it all, but terrified BEYOND TERRIFIED of telling my doctor about it, for fear of losing my kids. I turned to a friend who takes Suboxone and she is helping me enormously......I'm on day 4 of only 4 mg per day. Anyone know if I go through the "proper channels" if I will lose my kids over this? I'd much rather be doing it under a doctor's care, but my friend helping me was pretty blunt and said that she had to LIE about the amount she was taking in order to get help in the first place. I've tried cold turkey many times and got scared to death when it lasted for more than a week...normally withdrawals were only lasting me a few days. I'm in over my head, and trying everything in my...

I am taking a 80 mg a day of hydrocodone / Acetaminophen and trying lower down to 40 mg a day to 20 mg a day then 10 mg a day, and 10 every 24 hours without having to have extreme opiate withdrawals, please tell me if I can use fioricet for opiate withdrawals. what do need to know. ## Hello, Will363! How are you? If you're doing a slow taper, your withdrawals should be minimal. How long have you been taking it? How fast of a taper are you doing? It takes at least a week, between each dosage drop, for your body to adjust. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And no, there is really nothing in the Fioricet to help.

I was curious if this medication helps with pain from opiate withdrawal? ## Una-contrary! It will make withdrawals much worse. You may use naltrexone at least 7 days after you stop using opiates. ## I've been taking oxycodone for years now. I took the vivitrol shot yesterday without detoxing from pills. I went into a very violent withdrawal for about 12 hours. no sleep at all. I am still in withdrawal because of getting off pills. But if i took a pill, would it help with my bad withdrawals or will naltrexone throw me into a worse intense withdrawal? ## Instructions for naltrexone suggest no opiate use for 7 days. I start in 2 days and have taken an opiate maybe 5 times over the last 3 days. Will there be any reaction still because there is no addiction? I wouldn't have thought i...

In what way does this H 114 pill help with opiate withdrawal? ## This tablet contains 500mgs of Methocarbamol, it is a muscle relaxant that's used to treat painful muscle spasms. And it may help, in some cases with withdrawal, since pain and spasms can be a rebound effect of the withdrawal process. Learn more Methocarbamol details here. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and sedation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you. I'm trying to get off of norco and percoset. I've been using them for about 6 years or more everyday. The pain seems real, and the withdrawl seems unbareable. With as big of a family as I have, (6 small children), I find it difficult to let the pills go. I'm at a loss and affraid of talking to my doctor. I ha...

I was fighting cancer and ended up hooked on opiates. I had been taking oxycontin, dilaudid, percocet, hydromorphone, you name it, for years. I needed to keep taking higher and higher doses because i had developed a resistance to the drugs and they stopped working. A few years into my fight i caught a break and my cancer went into remission. I started to recover and most of the bone pain issues began to fade. I didn't need the opiates anymore but I was hooked. I went to the doctor for a cessation plan and he gave me a taper down schedule from long acting oxy to short acting percs then finally tapering to nothing. It was going to be a slow, painful, draw down. I started the plan and quickly came unglued at the seems. I had been fighting a painful cancer for years and now I had to dea...
