are these good pain pills ## I located the pill in description to be Meperidine HCL (50 mg). It is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain. To answer your question, I think since it has a high potential for abuse, I would assume that it is a good pain medication. To view information about this drug, please click on the link below... If you have any other questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to assist you. ## What is Meperidine HCL I know it is a pain pill but what kind. And why do I have to take Promethazine every time I take one. ## Meperidine is a fast-acting opioid analgesic drug. It was the first synthetic opioid synthesized in 1932 as a potential anti-spasmodic agent. Does this answer your question? It was all I was able to find. As far as havi...

What is the different OXYCOTIN 80 MG O/C & OXA FORTE 50 MG. ## IS THE SAME EFECT BETWEN OXYCONTIN O/C 80 MG AND OXA FORTE 50 MG.? ## Oxycontin contains the opiate Oxycodone in a time released formulation, while Oxa Forte contains Codeine, and Diclofenac, so the latter couples an opiate with a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Both carry the risk of being habit forming, but the Codeine is much milder than the Oxycodone. They may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation. Thus, while they are both opiates used to alleviate pain, they are not equivalent, because the Oxycontin is much stronger Is there anything else I can help with?

I have an oval shaped pill that has the number 169 on it but it was not in its original bottle what is it for ## I wasn't able to locate an exact match to your description, as you didn't mention what color the pill is that you are referring to. I did however find a pill marked "961" as opposed to "196" that is white and oval shaped. Is there any chance that you may have misread the marking? If so, I would've located the pill in description to be Clonidine HCL (0.1 mg). It has been prescribed historically as an antihypertensive drug, but has found new uses, including treatment of some types of neuropathic pain, opioid detoxification, sleep hyperhidrosis, anaesthetic use, and off-label, to counter the side effects of stimulant medications such as methylphenidat...

do I swallow the pill or do I take it in pieces or do I let it dissolve in my mouth please someone answer I really need it asap ## Just to confirm, a white round pill imprinted with "155" and a "half moon logo" is identified as generic Suboxone, containing: Buprenorphine hydrochloride 8 mg (base) + Naloxone hydrochloride 2 mg (base); This medication is used in the treatment of opioid dependence. From what I understand, it's supposed to work best when taken sublingually; where all you have to do is let it fully dissolve under your tongue in order for your body to absorb it. It would be a good idea to contact your Dr. though if you have any other questions related to how much you should take. I hope this helps! ## Dear Destiny, David is correct. I have been on Bupropion 150mg XL for years and am now switching to 75mg SR but cutting the 150mg SR pill (MU12) in half per my doctor's directions. Is it safe to cut the pill and take it on a daily basis? The official Mylan site says not to, but that was my doctor's directions. Would like to get other opinions before I start. ## Hello, Gary! How are you? Well, only your doctor can speak to their own rationale, but my best guess would be that since you've already been taking the higher dosage, they don't see much risk of your overdosing by cutting this tablet. Unless you're taking the whole tablet, you won't get the full 150mgs. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and nervousness. H...

I have an abscess .would it reduce the pain and swelling. ## Hi shazavier, Sorry to hear about your tooth abscess. From what I could gather, the red pill you're describing marked 44 291, contains 200mgs of Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug marketed for its use in treating mild pain and inflammation (swelling). So in my opinion, I don't see why it wouldn't be beneficial for such cases. However if you have truly been diagnosed with a tooth infection, this won't necessarily take it away; it will only mask the pain and swelling temporarily. Therefore you may also need to contact a doctor and see about getting prescribed an antibiotic to take along with the Ibuprofen. I hope this helps answer your question!

The L374 oblong white pill is generic Excedrin Migraine. I don't understand why everyone has problems looking up drugs. (And by the way, take it from an addict - you shouldn't use, hydrocodone, or any opiates or drugs at all as these can easily cause your heart to stop. Get sober and be somebody that gives back to the world). ## @RockieAnn, Thanks for taking the time to share that pill information. And just to confirm for anyone else who might be reading, this pill is in fact a generic Excedrin, containing: Acetaminophen 250 mg + Aspirin 250 mg + Caffeine mg (NDC 0113-0374). NOT Hydrocodone. I realize with a lot of people posting for help on identifying something, they don't always know what to type in a search field and may be thinking that it's just easier for someone ...

What meds are commonly used in outpatient rehab to stop using opiate pain pills. ## The one that is most commonly used is suboxone. It is a wonderful medication that allows you to go off opiates without having to feel the horrendous opiate withdrawals. You must be off opiates at least 24 hours to take it. Having opiates in your system while taking suboxone can make you very sick, I know this from experience. Hope this helps and good luck! ## The other one commonly used is Methadone, but unlike Suboxone, many people treated with it require a lifetime maintenance dose and never become completely drug free. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And as to the Su...

What the difference between Buprenorphine with Naloxone and Buprenorphine without Naloxone ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? That is the difference. once contains the Naloxone to help prevent the abuse of other medications, while someone is being treated with it and the other doesn't. Naloxone isn't safe for everyone, particularly pregnant women, or someone who is allergic to it, so a different option has to be available for them. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I accidently took a 3rd week pill monday instead of my 2nd week pill thursday. NOt sure where to go from here ## Hi Kayde, Generally when a pill or dose has been missed, it is my opinion that your next step should be going back to the pill or dose that you should have taken and simply starting over from there with the thought in mind that you wont keep missing or taking the wrong dose. With certain drugs like oral contraceptives, this can be a bit unnerving; but that is why it is important to adhere to the instructions so strictly as compared to other drugs that don't require you take them in an orderly fashion. Have you talked to your doctor or gynecologist about this at all? ## i took 28 pill instead of 22.am i still safe?

Is there a pill that when you take it you would vomit if you smoked a cigarette? ## I don't believe there is a pill that makes you vomit after smoking (although that would be a great invention in my opinion for those searching for a way out). Based on experiences of friends of mine, I have heard that acupuncture is one of the more effective ways to quit the craving to smoke. They tell me it works instantly, and I have no reason to not believe them since they have been smoking pretty much their entire life (20+ years). I think it wouldn't hurt much to give it a try if you or anyone else you may be referring to is seeking an effective alternative to quit. Although I don't know the exact cost of it, it would be a lot cheaper than continuing to purchase a pack of cigs every so o...
