What is opana a equal to in lotabs 10 ## Hello, Renee! How are you? Not factoring the effect of the Acetaminophen in the Lortab, you'd need 30mgs of the Hydrocodone to be equivalent to each 10mg Opana. However, it also should be noted that the Lortab is not time released, like the Opana ER, so it's pain relieving effects won't last as long throughout the day and due to the Acetaminophen in the Lortab, it isn't safe to take multiples of them, unless your doctor specifically approves. Even then, you have to make sure not to exceed 3,000mgs a day, or you risk overdose toxicity. The FDA classifies these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constip...

My husband has severe rheumatoid arthritis and requires 24 pain management. We felt there were too many ups and downs with the 50 mcg fentanyl patch and asked for something new. Pain Management Dr. (PMD) changed him to MS Contin 15 mg. He was in bed for 4 solid days, was taking 4-6 percocet per day for breakthrough and was anorexic and irritable. He changed him to Opana ER 15. Can anyone explain how that might be more effective for him??? Thanks! ## Percocet is adding a lot of acetominiphine (sp?) That may end up hurting his stomach. My Dr. took me off Percocet and put me on oxycodone IR and Opana er. The Opana is 30mg. This works well for me. ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, which is a very potent narcotic. Do they make a 60mg opana now or do they give you two 30s at a time? Someone please bye very helpful!! ## Opana is only available in a maximum of 40mgs. And, except in extreme cases such as someone having terminal cancer pain, no a doctor would not be able to prescribe that much. Learn more Opana details here. Under the new regulations, anyone else requiring this medication for pain can only receive the maximum available dosage, the maximum number of recommended times per day…. and even if a doctor did try to write for 2 of the 30mg tablets, no pharmacy would fill it. As I said, the only exceptions to the new regulations are those in severe pain from terminal illness. This medication is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, s...

I am on both of these meds do to severe medical issues. I take 40 Mg of opana 4 x daily and 30 Mg of oxycodone 5 x daily as well as Nortriptyline 150 Mg twice daily and neurontin 600 Mg 3 x daily. Needless to say a few different stomach medication due to chronic nausea. Oh and also phenergan pills and injectable. My question is has anyone found anything other than multiple medications to relieve severe chronic pain. ## I also have severe medical problems and nothing works. For two years was on 3Mg iv dilaudid every three hours and 120 percocet 10/325 every month. Zofran for nausea. Overdosed a couple months ago (imagine that) and been dropped four 5/325 percocet a day and now in constant pain... Not sure how to adjust. ## Have either of you ever tried the Fentanyl patch? It's a very...

My Pain Dr is changing my medication from oxycontin 60 mg to opana 30 He is trying to get the pain level to a point that I can be to a point My pain is live able What is the difference I am reading its twice as strong but If your getting 1/2 your dose So Wont the pain medication still more or less be the Same? I start on Monday So any info is appreciated thank you ## SWEET: Supposedly, the Opana actually stays around for 12 hours, whereas you probably know, the Oxy does not. BUT: Opana is very expensive, and depending on where you live, it is very hard to find a pharmacy that carries it. I live in a large metropolitan area, and I found 1 pharmacy that had it, but my copay was 330.00, so I declined. Also, check with your insurance company about what drugs they will pay for in that class ...

I am a long time pain suffering patient that still needs to work. And pay a lot for opana. What Pharmacies in Portland carry Generic Opana ? Actavis brand or other?. Someone please help. I'm currently experiencing severe sciatic pain and knee pain. ## I'm sorry, but there is no listing of pharmacies according to what they do or do not have in stock that I can refer to for you. Since this is a controlled substances that is very commonly abused, the only way to get an accurate answer would be to go into the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand and ask them if they carry the generic. How are you? Opana is actually twice as strong as Oxycodone, so it would take 20mgs of Oxycodone to equal 10mgs of Opana and how well it works can vary from person to person. There are other posts on here from people who had better results with Oxycontin than they had with Opana. Is there a opana that is 30 mg and is round and white ## Hello, Nick! How are you? No, the 30mg tablets are listed as being colored. What are the markings on the pill in question? That is what would enable me to identify it for you. The FDA classifies Opana as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

opana 15 mg 90 tablets i need a big discount its 500 dollars its first time trying the drug can you help ## this site doesn't administrate any such programs, but manufacturers often do. Opana is manufactured by Endo Pharmaceuticals. The problem here is that due to abuse and diversion, many of them don't cover controlled substances, especially since they don't consider them life sustaining medications. I did a search and the only thing I am finding on their site is a savings card offer that gives you $25 off each prescription, up to a maximum of $300 a year. For as much as it costs, that is not a very significant savings. The main problem with it is that there is no generic, at this time. However, there are many other narcotics that can successfully relieve pain and are avail...

Please help me, I am getting prescribed opana and i want to know if it exists in a 30mg form, and if so, what the inscription is supposed to be? ## @the queen, To answer your question, 30mg Opana "ER" tabs do in fact exist. However they are not white as you mentioned in your description. They are actually depicted as being red in color and also eight-sided. As far as the imprint is concerned, the one's I'm finding made by Endo Pharmaceuticals have the number 30 on one side and are blank on the other. Just out of curiosity, what is it about the one's being prescribed that makes you question their appearance? ## She had the color wrong because somebody ripped her off telling her a 30 mg opana is white... How can I convince the doctor to give me the instant release Opana? I'm on the ER 10 mg Opana's now but would like the instant release I take with Oxycodone 30 mg. The regular release Opana seem to work better with my oxycodone. ## Hello, Vickie! How are you? I doubt they will, because usually pain management uses a time released medication and a regular release formulation. You may be able to switch to a time released Oxycodone and a regular release Opana. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. was just taken off 30 mg opana's and put on ms cotin 30 mg cr can anyone please tell me the differrence between the drugs are and should i experience any changes in my body fromthe change i was on opanas for about 2 years ## Well, the Oxymorphone in the Opana is actually stronger than the Morphine in the MS Contin, it takes roughly 90mgs of Morphine to equal 30mgs of the Oxymorphone, so depending on how often you were taking them in a day, you may actually run into experiencing some pain and withdrawal effects. Is there a specific reason they switched you to the MS Contin?

I'm quiting Opana using Suboxone. I've gradually come down from Opana ER 40 mg to 10 mg over a period of 6 months, and am switching today to Suboxone film. Dr told me to wait 24 to 36 hrs before starting Subs (wait till I can't stand the withdrawals any longer). Normally on 10 mg Opana I start to feel withdrawals within 12 hrs, can't get comfortable in my skin, can't sleep, restless leg etc. Problem is I ran out of 10 mg yesterday so the single last Opana I took was an ER 40 mg. It's been 30 hrs and still no noticable withdrawals. I don't want to start the Suboxone until feeling the withdrawals as instructed cause I don't want the Subs to kick in and suddenly block the Opana causing worse withdrawals. How long should I wait? ## There is really no precise ...
