My 7 doctors agreed that I would have to be on pain meds the rest of my life after a auto accident in 1981, after more than 50 surgeries I was put on disability until I found a old doctor who help put back to the point I had a union of both bones mid shaft of Tibia & Fibula, plus 7 crushed disk, right rotator cuff that pops out & many other injuries. From 1981 until 1990 I was on just about ever form of pain meds the doctors said I needed. I was nuts by then, this was all military & VA doctors. I moved back home where I went searching for a good doctor that serve my home town as I live in the country. what does an opana 60 mg look like? ## There is not a 60mg Opana available on the U.S. market. Opana is a very potent narcotic that contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is only available in a maximum of 10mgs. Was it perhaps a different medication that you were thinking of? There are tablets of both Morphine and Oxycodone that are available in 60mg dosages. ## Opana is not available in a 60mg. pill. You would need to be prescribed 1-40mg., and 1-20mg., in order to be taking 60mg. of Opana. ## Is there a red round 60 mg opana?

i am on methadone 5mg twice a day for long term pain. i am on 10 mg oxycodone four times a day for breakthrough pain. i hate methadone, but its a long story having to do with a stint at a clinic. i couldnt tell my doctor that. i have been taking 10 mg opana ir and they work well, i just have built a tolerance to it. i think the 20 mg twice a day along with two 15mg oxycodone for breakthrough should do me well. i cant take the opana er because they make me sick, do you guys think that what i want is a good enough substitute? any comments and suggestions would be helpful. thanks ## Was on both meds- got off both. I get the generic opana er 20 mg. They come like plastic. They are green, feel like plastic, say 20 on one side and E on the other. The plastic crap makes my stomach a mess. what happens if u put water on it? ## It gets wet. ## If you just get it damp/moist, it will start to dissolve the outer coating of the tablet. This should not be done, however, as it could result in the medication being released to quickly, resulting in an overdose. I have spent so much time trying to get my Opana 20mg er and 10 mg ir filled. I had to start sending my scripts to Optum Rx by mail to have them filled. Honestly I've never seen anything like it. I didn't even have this much trouble getting Oxycotin and Oxycodone filled. My insurance co didn't want to pay for my oxycodone anymore so they suggested I change to Opana. The first couple of months it was ok but then I don't know what happened but when I said I couldn't get them filled anywhere I meant it. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is actually stronger than Oxycodone. If you were taking 40mgs of Oxycontin, you would only need 20mgs of the Opana. I was prescribed 10 mg Opana when my dr changed my 60 mg morphine to reduce the mg quantity due to the Narcotics and Controlled Substance bs. the pharmacist said it was equivalent as far as the dosage and ability to control the pain. I took a whole one due to not being able to break it and feel there is no comparison. Is this something that gets better the more you take it? ## It actually takes 20mgs of Opana to equal each 60mgs of Morphine. So, that may be why you're not getting as much relief. I have been prescribed Opana ER 40 mg three times a day, since 2003. In the last two months it has become unavailable from the manufacturer, you. I have been able to substitute 20 mg ER and it works, just more pills. Now they have become unavailable, and it hurts. You can't just stop taking this medication. I'm sure you know after eight years you go thru withdrawals on top of the pain. Judging from your description it does sound to me like your experiencing what may be considered withdrawal symptoms (i.e. various physical and mental challenges such as restlessness, anxiety, mood changes, joint pain, etc.. just to name a few). I personally haven't heard of anyone going through withdrawals off of Opana that's only been used on two occasions, however, depending on how long you've been on Butrans for and whether or not you're still taking it, my thoughts are that some symptoms might also be related to side effects as well. There is no instant release Opana, so I assume you're actually talking about the regular release and no, it is only available in 5mgs or 10mgs. What else do you take? Have you consulted your doctor? I was on 100 mg of Kadian twice a day for 7 years and got switched to 20 mg of Opana three times of day. Also, I was on 15 mg of Morphine 4 times a day and was switched to 4 mg of dialudid 4 times a day. I want to know if these dosages are equal to my old medicine dosages. ## I don't believe these are equivalent dosages, more over because Morphine is the active ingredient in Kadian. In which case you had taken 100mg twice a day (200mg/day) and later dropped down to 15mg four times a day (60mg/day). That's a pretty significant difference in and of itself, not taking into consideration the Opana or Dilaudid fixtures. My son is buying Opana off the street and is addicted to 3- 40 mg a day... SINCE TAKING OPANA 20 MG ER AND OPANA 10 MG IR FOR BREAKTHROUGH HEADACHES I WAS RECENTLY PRESCRIBED THE NEW OPANO 20 MG ER PILLS. Taking opana ER 5 mg and 5 mg opana for breakthrough is not really helping. Can I take tylenol as well? ## They can be taken together, unless you've been instructed not to mix them. The FDA warns that these medications may carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications? What medical condition is being treated? ## Opana is now being taken off the market. As of Sept 1 2017. I myself have been on opana for 6 years for pain and IR for breakthrough. So Idk what we are going to do now to answer your question though yes when first prescribed opana was also prescribed Vicodin for breakthrough.

I need a list of pharmacies in kpt,tn that carries generic opana er in 10mg and 15mg ## I used to be able to obtain Percocet 10/325 now my local drug stores carry Oxycodone which they say is exactly the same formula as the Percocet. I know the drug stores pay less for this substitute but the pills do not seem to work the same for my back pain. I was just prescribed this medicine and do not feel very comfortable taking it. I would like to know if any one has tried this drug and how did it work.
