Does the Opana IR come in 15 mg tabs? ## Hi Lynn, From what I could gather, Opana "ER" tablets are the only ones that come in 15mg dosage forms. The immediate release ones appear to be in 5mg and 10mg increments, respectively. I don't know if other brands outside of the US carry it in different dosages, but it sounds like three 5mg tablets would be your best bet for reaching the intended dosage. I'd just be sure to talk with your doctor about proper dosing protocols before moving forward with it. I hope this helps!

i am on methadone 5mg twice a day for long term pain. i am on 10 mg oxycodone four times a day for breakthrough pain. i hate methadone, but its a long story having to do with a stint at a clinic. i couldnt tell my doctor that. i have been taking 10 mg opana ir and they work well, i just have built a tolerance to it. i think the 20 mg twice a day along with two 15mg oxycodone for breakthrough should do me well. i cant take the opana er because they make me sick, do you guys think that what i want is a good enough substitute? any comments and suggestions would be helpful. thanks ## Was on both meds- got off both. what is then dosage for oxymorphine er15 vs opana 40mg? ## Oxymorphone is the active ingredient in Opana, so the base dosage would be the same. The only difference in war you've listed is that the ER designates that one as being a time released formulation, rather than a regular release like the other one. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I don't understand your question. Opana 40mg is extended release and oxymorphone 15mg ER is the generic version of Opana 15mg ER. So the only difference is the strength as there is no such thing as instant release Opana 40mg. The only IR version of Opana is 10mg, which is available as the generic oxymorphone 10mg. Does anyone know the conversion dose when switching from MS Contin 15mg to Opana. The MS no longer works to take the edge off the pain. I have had chronic pain after herniated cervical, lumbar disks, 4 surgeries, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and daytime sleepiness, and osteo-arthritis. Why is Morphine showing up in my urine when i take Opana ER and Oxycodone IR? ## I want to know the same thing. I went yesterday and I was positive for Morphine, Hydromorphone, hyrdrocodne and oxycodone. The only hard drugs I take are Opana 30mg, Klonopin.5, Restoril 15mg, zanaflex. He got all over me and I haven't taken anything other than what I am RX'ed.
