Opana 10mg

my mother is currently taking opana IR 10mg and i was wondering if this drug is dangerous for people who have COPD & emphazemia cause i notice that she has a harder time breathing after she takes it. ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, it is a narcotic, so it can cause depression of the central nervous system, as well as respiratory depression, so that is what may be causing her problem. Have she consulted her doctor about this? These side effects are common to all narcotics and she may need a lower dosage or to try a difference medication.

transition from methadone to opana30. ## Opana contains the potent narcotic Oxymorphone, so in theory, switching from Methadone to it should not cause any problems, as long as your doctor carefully calibrates the dosage. However, Methadone does tend to create a problem, because even when you are switched to another narcotic, it tends to make some people still experience some withdrawal effects, such as rebound pain, stomach pain, chills and vomiting. These types of issues are why many people that use it to try to beat drug addiction actually end up never being really drug free, because they have to take lifelong maintenance doses of the Methadone. Can't find a pharmacy in my area of California that can order opana ir 10mg by Roxanne. They tell me they are unavailable. Does anyone know why? ## The pharmacy is lying to you. Yes they do this more frequently than people realize. I am on the exact same medication (generic Opana IR 10mg by Roxane), and fill it monthly. They are available. There is no shortage. Your pharmacy is chosing not to fill it for any number of reasons. (For example They may have reached their alloted amount, or they suspect abuse, or they dont want to pay the exact amount for Roxane as the Teva 10mg are cheaper, or etc etc etc). There is no instant release Opana, so I assume you're actually talking about the regular release and no, it is only available in 5mgs or 10mgs. What else do you take? Have you consulted your doctor? i have been on 10mg Opana Er twice a day for about 2 months. then my dr upped it to 2 10mg opana twice a day. i did fine on both. now i take 1 20mg Opana er and im itching! is there a chemical difference between 2 10mg and 1 20mg? has anyone else had this happen? please help!! ## Hello, LoralP! Does the Opana IR come in 15 mg tabs? ## Hi Lynn, From what I could gather, Opana "ER" tablets are the only ones that come in 15mg dosage forms. The immediate release ones appear to be in 5mg and 10mg increments, respectively. I don't know if other brands outside of the US carry it in different dosages, but it sounds like three 5mg tablets would be your best bet for reaching the intended dosage. I'd just be sure to talk with your doctor about proper dosing protocols before moving forward with it. I hope this helps!

what does an opana 60 mg look like? ## There is not a 60mg Opana available on the U.S. market. Opana is a very potent narcotic that contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is only available in a maximum of 10mgs. Was it perhaps a different medication that you were thinking of? There are tablets of both Morphine and Oxycodone that are available in 60mg dosages. ## Opana is not available in a 60mg. pill. You would need to be prescribed 1-40mg., and 1-20mg., in order to be taking 60mg. of Opana. ## Is there a red round 60 mg opana?

My doctor just switched me to Opana IR 10 mg. I was taking Lortab 10/500, but staying misusing then because I built up a tolerance. Well these Opana's are amazing. I have never been so pain free in the twenty years suffering with chronic pain. Not to mention how awesome they make me feel in general. Bad part is the itching...keeps me awake and is unbearable. I wondered if there is something over the counter I can take to make this itching go away whereas I love Opana and definitely don't want to give them up. I accidentally took two 10mg opana tablets at the same time. What should I do? Please let me know. Not factoring the effect of the Acetaminophen in the Lortab, you'd need 30mgs of the Hydrocodone to be equivalent to each 10mg Opana. However, it also should be noted that the Lortab is not time released, like the Opana ER, so it's pain relieving effects won't last as long throughout the day and due to the Acetaminophen in the Lortab, it isn't safe to take multiples of them, unless your doctor specifically approves. Even then, you have to make sure not to exceed 3,000mgs a day, or you risk overdose toxicity. Usually if you take Opana ER 40mg, the doctor will also prescribe Opana 10mg to take every four to six hours as needed for breakthrough pain. I was prescribed that way for a long time, but now choose oxycodone 30mg over the Opana 10mg because the dosage is stronger because 1mg of opana=2mg oxycodone.

May of the year, I started the Opana ER 20mg and for me this has been wonderful. I was only able to afford oxycodone prior to the start of insurance in May. Been fighting a crazy battle with the oxycodone pain relief, cause the pharmacy keeps pushing KVK Tech product that doesn't work for me and has side effects. With Opana ER 20mg as my primary pain relief and Oxycodone 10mg for breakthrough pain, I am finally adjusting where I can function, which It has been a long time. My doctor currently gives me roxicodone 30mg #360, Opana IR 10mg #180, Soma 350mg #120, and Xanax 2mg #90....the only problem now seems to be finding pharmacies willing to fill the oxy's. I was told by my pharmacy (cvc) that they now dont fill beyond 240. Anybody else have this problem in San Diego or know of a pharmacy that will honor the script? I am disabled with lupus and PAC. I was taking oxycodone 10-325 one 4x a day with excellent results. My pain mgmt dr changed me to oxymorphone er 10mg with oxycodone one 2x day for breakthrough. I have been making call after call trying to find my Opana IR 10mg meds. ENDO Pharm. was no help. They used to at least try to find the meds but as of one hour ago, they would no longer provide that assistance. I take six 10mg tabs a day and I am terrified of the pain intensity I am going to have to face. Not only that, but I'm hearing that going from 60mg a day to zero, could land me in the ER.
