I think it's oxycodone but not sure. Can you help? Small Tan, round, thick pill with 40 on one side OP on the other side, not scored. ## Hello, Lori! How are you? Yes, there is, it's manufactured by Purdue Pharma and they list it as being a 40mg Oxycontin tablet, which is the time released formulation of Oxycodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you so much for your reply!

i want the name of this pill i have its small circle and a little bit thick iys a peacy tan color and one side says 40 the other side says op ## 40mg oxycontin. The P stands for the pharmaceutical company who makes it. But its oxycontin. If you'd never taken it before, I wouldnt if I were u. Unless prescribed by a dr. they are addicting. And I'm not saying it lightly. You get dependent on em very fast. Sorry. Im.sure you weren't looking for my opinion of the pill, but rather just the answer to your question. Its a 40mg oxycontin ## That is correct, this is a 40mg Oxycontin tablet, even though the manufacturer describes the color as yellow, it is much more a peach/tan color. It is a very potent narcotic analgesic that may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constip...

yellow round pill, writing on one side 40, OP on the other side ## round pill 40 on one side and OP on other side and its yellow. is this an oxycontin generic? ## i have the same thing and wtf is it? ## They have reformulated oxycontin to make it less likely to be abused. It is more difficult to chew or crush and can not be injected by abusers. So it is a oxycontin 40 mg that is tamper resistant ## i have the same thing only the substance will not show up in a data base from poison controll and does not give you the high ## do they still make real ocor just the ones that have the op on them? ## OP is the replacement oxycontin. Purdue lab makes them (thats where the P comes from). Purdue started making the OC imprinted oxycontin first. They are the name brands. The OP are REPLACING the O...

Came across a yellowish brown pill with oc on one side and 40 on the other. I was thinking it might be oxys but the number 4 caught my eye. Its closed off at the top otger oxys I came across always had a open 4. The 4 looks just like the one used here 4. They are from the Philippines that much I know. ## Hello bongomatix, From what I could gather, it looks like you are right about the legitimate 40mg Oxycontin having an "open ended 4" on them. The pill you came across seems to fit every other aspect of the description of a 40mg Oxycontin. But on top of that, with it being from the Philippines I have a good hunch that it's probably counterfeit/fake, since its real manufacturer is US based. Hopefully you didn't spend too much money on it, because legitimate manufacturers d...

Thank you for your help. ## This is not a generic, since there isn't a generic for Oxycontin, this is the name brand and they are 40mg tablets, the ones with the OP marking are the new formulation that has been made to help prevent abuse. I couldn't help but notice that no one has mentioned oxycodone. I take 4 40mg daily and it has been effective in treating my back issues. They have enabled me to return to work, which involves a lot of travel and much activity once onsite, and due to this medication my pain no longer dictates my life. There is always the fear of dependence but over the years I have become something of an expert at withdrawal and how to avoid it. When used responsibly this medication is a Godsend. When it is abused it is a curse. ## Hello, Tracy! How are you? I'm very glad that this mediation has helped you so much.
