Can u take op40 . And take perc 10/325 for the breakthrough pain ## Hello, Brooks! How are you? Yes, you can, as long as your doctor has prescribed them that way. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
1 REPLY Filed under Pain ReliefI started with percocet 10/650 2x per day then up to 6x per day because i was still in pain. I am trying to get back to my active life without being in pain. I was taking too many pills with acetamin. My Doctor switched me to 30mg ms contin 2x per day, it was the first thing that worked it took the pain away (even through the night -into the morning.) Also 2-5/325 2x per day for the breakthrough pain. (I do not have ins. right now and 5/325 is cheaper than 10/650). But the ms contin was making me sweat really, really bad, so bad I had to ask my doctor to switch me to something else. He switched me to oxycontin 40mg 2x per day and oxycodone 30mg 2x per day. The day after I got them prescribed I applied for health insurance that would cover my doctor visits and prescriptions. The oxycodon...
1 REPLY Filed under OxyContinyellow octogon ## Did you mean Opana? This contains the narcotic pain reliever Oxymorphone. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## I currently take percocet or oxycodone/ apap and I have been on it for a long while. I can't go back to loritab and thses are both 10 mg because loritabs do not work! So I would like to see what other meds are out there that I or my Dr might prescribe?
2 REPLIES Filed under OpanaHello I take opana 40mg Er 3x daily with 8mg of deluded for break threw pain. I have l3-l5 fussed I have Ben on opana now for 6months before that mscontin and oxy. The opana does work for me with little to no side effects I have to agree with fellow commenters about the abuse of the drugs. All it does is make it hard on people like my self that suffer from chronic pain. It is good that they make the drugs more tamper proof but in some cases the drug failed to work because of the new formulation. ## @Bahm, In my honest opinion, it really comes down to just being open to other forms of treatment options so one isn't fully dependent upon big pharma (or any other single source of medication) to cover all their needs. That way if something does happen with a medication, we don't nece...
5 REPLIES Filed under OpanaI have been taking Opana er 40mg for over a year. My last refill was April 12, i was given a round pill with 40 on one side and E on the back. I am in constant pain! Any suggestions, I take 3 per day with 10/325 percocets 4x day. The pharmacy told the Dr. i must have been crushing my pills - i wasn't. I'm not crazy, these pills don't work. ## The Opana time released tablets were recently reformulated, with the intent to make them harder to abuse. Unfortunately, just as with the OxyContin reformulation, this has caused problems for some people, such as unusual side effects, or the medication not working as well as it used to. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Don't feel like you're crazy ! ! ! I'm upset with all the pain dr.Who have been giving his pat...
18 REPLIES Filed under OpanaI just moved to Hercules CA and i was prescribed opana twice a day from my car accident. I need help getting it filled. ## Hi Mike, Are you currently searching for a new pain management doctor? If so, the webpage posted below may be of service to you in so far as finding pain management doctors within your general area... Just input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} I hope this helps and wish you good luck on finding the right treatment! ## Mike, what kind of help do you need? Just take the description to the drugstore to have it filled. What is the problem? I live in N CA and have never had a problem getting Rx's filled. ## I seriously can't believe you guys can't understand what he's asking for. I guess as a former...
3 REPLIES Filed under Opanadoes opana ir come in 40mg ## No, the available information on the drug lists the 40mg as only being available in the time released formulation of it. Oxymorphone is a narcotic analgesic and may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any comments or questions? ## The only IR Opana is a 10mg strength and comes in generic as oxymorphone 10mg. Hope that helps. Usually if you take Opana ER 40mg, the doctor will also prescribe Opana 10mg to take every four to six hours as needed for breakthrough pain. I was prescribed that way for a long time, but now choose oxycodone 30mg over the Opana 10mg because the dosage is stronger because 1mg of opana=2mg oxycodone.
2 REPLIES Filed under OpanaI have been waiting for medicaid, my husband has medicare, both my son & I were not included on getting RX, or Dr's care. I have my percription, That I need and it is 1226.63, I cannot afford to get this, and their is no help at all in the state of New jersey.... they will let you die, because of paper work? If there is any chance of getting help, Please I need it today, may 19th, 2009. ## Sorry to hear about your current challenges - At this point you might want to try contacting the manufacturer of Opana ER to see if they can offer any patient assistance programs, or at least point you in the right direction. The manufacturer's contact information is: Endo Pharmaceuticals 220 Lake Drive Newark, DE 19702 Phone: (800) 462-ENDO (3636) Fax: (877) 329-ENDO (3636) I hope this he...
2 REPLIES Filed under Opanai have been taking oxy oc 60mg 2aday as prescribed never abused them last month it was swiched to 60mg of the new oxy op not nearly as effective and double the cost ## Switching to the new one has nothing to do with abuse, everyone has to switch, because they are no longer making the original. Once the pharmacies run out of their current supply, they will all have the new product and can only fill prescriptions with it. There have been many complaints that it is not as effective in the new formulation and some people have mentioned having weird side effects. I suggest reporting the problem to Purdue and the FDA. Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Are there any questions or comments?
1 REPLYAre there any tricks to get the insurance company to authorize opana when the 2 other medications that they cover are giving me way to many debilitating side effects . My pain doc switched me to opana or OxyContin so I'd get pain relief without sedation, itching , rashes and vomiting . I've tried OxyContin and I had none of those side effects. My doctor just sent in the letter of medical necessity and if it gets denied I'd like to know what are things that they look for specifically and things they consider there to be cause to approve the request and authorize it? The doc told me he only wrote two Med codes bc the form only had space for that . Uuggghhh- that frustrated me bc I just had surg and I really wanted this to go through and FAST !! Now I'm wondering if it's n
Filed under OpanaGot my script filled a few days and didn't notice til today that they're OPs. I've also been sick for the past few days - Do OPs make anyone else sick? Lightheaded, dizzy, sleepy, nauseous, flu-like, can't function. Have taken OCs for years and never had these problems. ## Yes, there have been many complaints that they are not as effective and that they cause odd side effects. I am sorry to read that you are having a problem. I suggest reporting the issue to both Purdue and the FDA at the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Are there any comments or questions? ## Thanks Verwon: Spoke with my Doc yesterday and she said it sounds like I'm going through some withdrawal because folks ar...
10 REPLIES Filed under OxyContinDo we have New Opana's coming out? And if so when ## Hi, Millie! What do you mean by new? There is a new formulation of the name brand that has already been released on the market and there are also many generics available. Learn more Opana details here. This medication is a narcotic that has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness and constipation.
1 REPLY Filed under OpanaDoesn't relieve pain. ## Opana was recently reformulated to help prevent abuse and, unfortunately, just as when this was done with OxyContin, it has turned out to not be as effective in some people that use it and, in some cases, to cause odd side effects. Have you contacted your doctor? You may need to switch to a different medication.
1 REPLY Filed under Opananeed information ## This is a new product from Purdue Pharma and is replacing the original Oxycontin. It has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse, by retaining its time released properties, even if someone tries to alter it. Side effects are supposed to be the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Does anyone have any questions or comments? ## I have not been able to get my doctor to perscribe me these. I want them cause the pain meds she gives me don't work, Then mess up my stomache. The throbbing continues day after day. I need a fusion in my left ankle / heel. Any one know where I can come up with releif let me know Kind Regards.>>Ron ## how long does it take a 40mg op to work
3 REPLIES Filed under OxyContinALL I WANT TO KNOW ARE THEY COMING OUT WITH 40MG OPANA IN GENERIC, NEED TO PAY LESS IT JUST TO MUCH MONEY. ## Yes they are and already started senting them out. Check Impax web site and call them. They will tell you. You may need to have your pharmacy order them. They are much cheaper. ## A lot of it is going to depend on when the supplier for your local pharmacy can get them in. Learn more Opana details here. Every pharmacy can only order a limited supply of each controlled substance each month, so if they've already stocked up on the name brand, they won't be able to order in the generic for you, yet. Under the new laws, there is nothing they can do about it. So, it may take a month or two, before they become available to you. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Has ...

2 REPLIES Filed under OpanaHow do I stop taking opana er40 mg. I also take 10/325 Percocet. Should I try cutting down month to month or go to a rehab and have that instant detox done while I'm under? ## How much are you taking? Are you actually addicted and abusing them, or are you just taking them via a doctor's prescription and not taking more than prescribed? That's really what will determine your best option and you didn't provide such details in your post. Can you please post back with more information? Thanks!
1 REPLY Filed under OpanaI recieved a prescription for Pantoprazole Sodium DR 40mg. But my pill looks completely different from what I've had in the past and is different from the descriptions I can find on what it should look like. I have a white, oval tablet with "97" imprinted on one side. The imprints vary between red or black in the same bottle. What do I have in my hands? Any help is appreciated. ## How did you look for it, did you just do a search for what Pantroprazole should look like, or did you search for that imprint? The imprint is what enables a pill to be identified. If you just search for examples of what it should look like, you'll not likely have much luck, since this is a generic medication and most sites don't list all possible options. It is the correct medication, this ...
