I was told that mia 110 contains codeine as well. Is that the truth? I was told this by the pharmacist and I had prescription for fioricet with codeine and that's what I got. Is this less expensive than fioricet with codeine? I don't think it has any codeine as I have terrible headaches still. ## No, there is no codeine in those tablets. It is simply Mikart's generic version of Fioricet which contains butalbital, acetaminophen, and caffeine. No opiate. ## Just to confirm, the pill in description (MIA 110) is indeed a combination of Acetaminophen (325 mg) + Butalbital (50 mg) + Caffeine (40 mg). Manufacturer: Mikart, Inc. This is most commonly used to treat migraines and tension headaches. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Butalbital + Caffein...

Have severe degenerative disc disease. I recieve fyntinal patch and 10-325 hydrocodone and this has been ongoing 10years or so. I have learned not all hydrocodone is the same and that using the same hydrocodone loses its effect but changing the generic hydricodone manufacturer can help keep the effects of the medication working at its peak. ## Hi roro, Sorry to hear about your condition. It sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what works for you and what doesn't after being on these for 10 years. No one can argue that. However in my opinion, you're proposed theory on hydrocodone having more profound effects when you change manufacturers is debatable depending on which manufacturer you get. Often times the differentiating inactive ingredients play a role in how well one bra...

Does anyone have info. re: ordering from the internet for generic fioricet with imprint MIA 110? Didn't have problems until this year with orders -- having tension/migraine type pain and pressure for many years every day; would appreciate any info. possible. Thanks. ## Hi Casey, Depending on whether or not you ordered your medication from a legitimate pharmacy, it can actually be quite common for mistakes to arise. What types of problems are you experiencing with your order exactly? Is something wrong with the actual placement of your order, or are you just referring to the quality of your medication? If you could please post back in more detail that would be great. It may also be wise to discuss those side effects with your doctor, who can suggest some safer treatment options for y...

I took 4 IP 110 pills and it appears this morning that I've lost my voice. is this one of the side effects per this pain medication? ## Hello, Derrick! How are you? No, that's not a typical side effect, but the opiate in them can cause dry mouth and throat, which may have caused the issue. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you have any other symptoms?

I was given a different brand of hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325 by MFG AMNEAL, instead of my regular brand watson 10-325 I was told that my pharmacy wouldnt carry watson brand after the fact of giving me the new generic brand. Even though the label on my new brand states oval white tab.watson 853 not letting me prior of refilling my prescription. And I need to know if both brands are equally the same? I read most of people complain about this new MFG AMNEAL generic brand. I want the facts and truth about brands being the same. When i asked one of the pharmacist, she said, "watson my regular brand is the same as my new brand". But i would like an outsider professional opinion who doesnt work for my pharmacy. ## No not the same! Same thing happened to me, so I did my research! F...

I've been taking these for nearly 15 years. When the FDA changed the amount of acetaminophen in the pills to 325 or 300 mg (they lowered it, in any case) the manufacturer, since the amount of acetaminophen was changed, used it as an opportunity to say it is no longer a generic so... I no longer take fioricet. I now take butalbitol/caffeine/acetaminophen. If I ask my insurance for Fioracet it costs $350 a month for 60, the B/C/A costs $35.. go figure BUT my main problem is this: the old tablets I got were Qualitest, they were round and greenish blue, they were no problem! HOWEVER, now I am getting some large oblong white caplet that is so chalky I regularly choke on them. At least once a week one stops in my throats and it takes a while to get it down. A few weeks ago one stopped rig...

what is difference ip110 and Watson 853? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The tablet with the IP 110 is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals, the other is by Watson Pharmaceuticals and they both list them as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus, the only difference is that they are manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generics. Several options are always available to create market competition and help keep prices as low as possible. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have taken both and the Watson is better. I have a lot more bre...

My 35 year old son has HBP and high heart rate. . He used to take Bystolic but then lost his insurance and couldn't go to dr. Hasn't taken medicine for 8 months. His BP ran around 165/110 - sometimes higher. Heart rate has gone up to 175. He finally started back on Bystolic last week. Today his BP was 140/90. Much better, but still too high. How long to know if he is taking dufficient dose? ## Hello, JS! How are you and your son? That is a very good improvement over 165/110! I'm glad it's already working so well for him. It will take about 4 weeks to reach its full effectiveness level in his body, so he can tell how much it's going to lower it at this dosage. Learn more Bystolic details here. However, there are other options available that are much cheaper, so if he ...

I have never seen a government or it's people so anal retentive about opiates like our country is, it is ridiculous. Legitimate pain patients cannot even get pain meds now, because everyone is insane about them. They make pain meds for a reason, to stop pain! Everyone needs to get over their fixation with calling everyone a junkie that has to use painkillers. I've never seen anything like it! ## NO ONE WILL RESPOND TO MY THREAD BECAUSE THEY KNOW I AM 110% CORRECT !!! ## You said it! I am on methadone (not for pain)so imagine how I am treated! You don't know the half! And NY is more liberal than most states, especially in the city.

I am being prescribed methadone for opiate addiction been of all other drugs for 4 years I'm in the process of trying to have weight loss surgery and trying to find out if they will let me have it done since I'm on methadone? ## Hello, Brandy! How are you? Have you talked to the doctor or clinic that would be doing the surgery? There is a chance that you may not be able to, since if you're planning something like stomach banding, it can affect how some medications are absorbed. ## It puts you at greater risks for complications with anesthesia. For elective surgery it is a risk most drs would rather not take. Talk to your surgeon. ## I am having Gastic Sleeve surgery and have been on 110 mg of Methadone for 10 months. My surgeon has been wonderful. All is OK with anethesia an...

ARE HYDROCODONE 10 MG THAT HAS M363 ON IT AS STRONG AS THE ONES THAT HAVE IP110 ON THEM? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? ## I think everyone's going to have their own opinion on whether or not a generic Hydrocodone is stronger than a brand name; but based on the stats of each pill listed below, M363 should produce a stronger effect since there is 175 mg more of Acetaminophen. IP 110 contains Acetaminophen (325 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (10 mg) M363 contains Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (10 mg) Additionally, both of these pills have a slight variation of inactive ingredients that may make one pill better tolerated by one individual over another. Inactive Ingredients of M363: crospovidone, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, corn starch, silicon dio...

SIDE EFFECTS ## kindly advise me a tablet for hypertension which does not have much side effects and without Atenolol and also acts better than other pills like enalapril, etc. My hypertension readings are as 160/110 ## Rohini, this site is not medical professionals, so we can't possibly guess which medication would be best for you. All drugs carry the risk of side effects, the only way to find out which helps you, with minimal side effects is by trial and error. Most blood pressure medications will cause: headaches, nausea, muscle/joint pain and drowsiness. For me, today is day 8 of taking lercanidipine 10mg pills. I get a side effect. When I eat a meal after taking a pill, my pulse rate goes up to 80 per minute, and takes between 2 and 3 hours to go back to normal, 65. I do not eat too soon after taking a pill; I wait at least an hour. I worry that the 'racing heart' side effect combined with my high blood pressure - typically 160/110 at present - will give me a heart attack or stroke. Should I continue to take the pills? Will the side effect go away eventually? Of course, I will ask my doctor for advice, but I would be pleased to get other opinions. ## Avoid taking the Lercanidipine with fatty meals. It increases the bodies absorbtion of the drug. Take it at least 30 minutes before a meal. Try taking the Lercanidipine halfway bet...

I am on 30mg Roxycotin (oxycodone) 180 tablets per month. I have insurance, however, cannot find a pharmacy that has supplies of prescription (I hear many people are having this issue recently). My doctor might prescribe an alternative. I am very afraid of the alternative due to not understanding how medications translate. I fear it not being adequate for me to function and go to work. What is a viable alternative? Does anybody know. I am told dilaudid (I cannot spell the med.) But the doctor is saying 8mg. in the amount of 110 pills (as opposed to 30mg of oxycodone in the amount of 180 pills) that I am currently prescribed. It looks like a serious drop in the ammount and mg. of medication. I fear the worst. Anybody have any advice. It would be greatly appreciated. ## dear freind; the r...
