Took the drug in mid May 2014 for a sinus condition. I having diarrhea the next day that continued for over a week even after I stopped taking the drug after 4th day. I had to go to the doctor to get the diarrhea to stop, then began getting a rash on the back of my scalp and around my neck. The rash has continued since mid-May through July and continues to spread. I have went to 2 different doctors regarding the itchy rash and have been on 3 rounds of steroids which helps curb the rash while I am on the steroid. However still have the rash all over my body and am going back to the doctor next week. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to get the drug company to off-set my medical costs from the drug reaction? ## Edwardo again. Now it is July 17 and still have the rash / hives....

I was told by my son's Pediatirician that this was not penicillin (as he is allergic to PCN). Now after reading several discussions about this med, I'm worried. Please respond ASAP! Thank you, a concerned mother. ## If he is allergic to PCN he should not take this medication. It is a close cousin to the penicillin family and he will also be allergic to it. I am also allergic to amoxicillin (pcn sister) and I was given this medicine for a ear infection and started getting hives in my face n swelling eyelids and tingly mouth. I stopped the omnicef when symtoms developed. So pls dont give to your son.

I have been suffering from hamstring pull in my left knee. It occured 5 months back while doing an exercise. Since then my knee hurts and becomes rigid making it difficult for me to sit for long, walk or even stand for more than 5-10min. I consulted an orthopedician who told me to go for physiotherepy for 6 weeks and prescribed some medicine as well. I did physiotherepy for two weeks but didn't feel any change so i left that. Now i am working and dont get time for physiotherepy. I also used mavdol gel which provided a little relief but only till i used it. At last i went to my pharmasist and told him about this and he gave omnigel, instagesic-mr and neurobion forte. I want to ask that should i go for these medicines and gel ? What should be the dosage ? I have been advised twice a day.
