Omnacortil 20mg

my mum is suffering from cancer in the lungs and brain for about 10months now. she has been on omnacortill ever since. the starting dose being 40mg which has now been tapered off to 10mg. for the last few months she has been suffering from sleeplessness and acute muscular pain especially in the legs and constipation. no pain killer or sedative has worked on. she is not very mobile because she was confined to bed for a couple of months and receiving physiotherapy to get her back to normal mobility. can the above symptoms be a result of prolonged use of the drug . why does she actually need to take it and can something be done about it.

supposed to be prednisone 20mg?? ## The skin specialist prescribed OMNACORTIL 40mg for 2 weeks and taper down to 20mg for 1 week and 10 mg for 1 week for my wife's skin problem. She had taken the same in Sep,08. She is finding her right eye with blurred vision. We checked up with Opthalmologit and he conducted the tests. He feels the Ratina is slightly swollen and it may be due to some intake of medicines. Please let me know whether the above medicine taken by my wife has the side effects on her eye. I have deltoid muscle injury problem. Dr sugeested me omnacortil 40mg for 15 days. 30 mg for 7 days. And 20 mg for 7 days But during this my faces remain oily all days and acene problem.. And also face look like very heavy particularlly below eyes area... So i want to ask u that is it side effect of it?? And it will b normal after stop to taking it? ## Yes, the NIH does list those as being normal side effects of this medication, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight changes. These issues should go away within a week or two of stopping the medication. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

hi dear all, my wife suffering from ulcerative colitis (stul fricvency -3to4 times per day) scince last one year. Doctor has prescribed this to me in order to increase my platelet count, which reduced to 40000. My doctor advised me to have omnacortil 20 once a day. My question is, what is the side effect of consuming this steroid drug? After consuming this drug I feel a tendency of vomiting and also feel less energy. My wife has been using Omnacortil 5mg daily each morning for the last year. Now she is 3 months pregnant and we would like to know if this medication causes any harm for my wife or my child during the pregnancy? ## Did she encounter any problems? Omnacortil contains the active ingredient Prednisolone, which is a steroid class medication and though no controlled human studies have been done, animal studies during pregnancy have shown evidence of harm to the baby. ## I had taken Omnacortil 20mg for 1 week during the end of my pregnancy and conceived a week later. Hi, I was having severe urticaria from last 30 last days and i took several medicines like atrax, predmet, avil but nothing was happening. So my doctor gave me OMNACORTIL 20mg for 10days but I took only for 5days because my allergy was cured. When I didn't take omnacortil on my 6th day then i had swelling on face and lot of body pain. I have cluster head ache,which comes annually.I take omnacortil 40 mg for 1st week,20mg for 2nd.10 mg for 3rd and 5 mg for the 4th week.But this time the effects are different.I have a feelin of not brushing my teeth, swelling legs ,Joint pains. nausea and sever drowsiness.I want to know whether it is harmfull for taking this medicine for 1 month?

I HAD MY PACEMAKER ON 24.03.14. DUE TO COPD IWAS PRESCRIBED OMNACORTIL 30MG FOR 2WKS AND THEN TAPPERED TO 20MG FOR ANOTHER 2 WKS.
