was the color of this capsule change from aqua mylan6150 to ku 118 white/brown ## Mylan 6150 is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. Ku 118 is manufactured by Kremers Urban, and appears to be repackaged or distributed by a variety of other pharmaceutical companies. Even though the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, I don't think the company changed the color; it was simply manufactured by another company (as shown above), and that is why it is another color. omeprazole dr 2-mg - - - started 02/17/10 - - - 1 capsule a day - - have had stomach pain and watery diarrea the past 4 days/also some vomiting. So I have not taken my medications until today!!! Since I have started feeling better -- I resumed my medications today -- this afternoon the stomach pain has returned and the feeling that the diarrea is allso about to resume! ## Omeprazole can cause some stomach pain and diarrhea as side effects when you first start taking it. The capsule is green on one side, blue on the other and contains 40 mgs of Omeprazole. I have been taking it for two weeks and just this weekend started experiencing back pain, groin pain and have a great deal of gas. Took one about 1 hour ago and my back is killing me and I am passing gas terribly. I am not taking any more of these pills. ## The one with the Mylan 5222 marking on both halves? I originally take OMEPRAZOL DR 40MG CAP APO. Now I take OMEPRAZOL DR 20MG CAP APO and it doesn't work as well as the 40MG CAPS... Can I take 2 of the 20MG CAPSULES? ## Hello, Arneta! How are you? Well, it is a lower dosage, so it's not going to work as well as the higher dosage did. It will take awhile for your body to adjust to the lower dosage. However no, you shouldn't raise the dosage again, without your doctor's approval. Long-term use of these PPIs risks hip fractures, according to FDA warnings. I take Omeprazole CR 40mg 30min-1hr before supper. Is there a problem if I take my calcium at the same time. My calcium is time released. alternativedrug for this drug that aetna pays for ## None of them, doesn't matter what you get, they will send the same letter after you get the next scrip filled twice and make you change again or get special authorization. Same thing happened to my husband on Aetna. They switched him from this to Prevacid, no on his second fill of the Prevacid, they sent the same letter. So what happened to their thing if you got it filled in the first month, you could continue to get it, no questions or denials, for the first year?

What is the difference between Omeprazole caps 40 mg and IC Omeprazole DR 40 mg. caps ## The first one that you listed is a regular release medication, while the second one you listed has the DR that denotes it as being a delayed release, so the medication is slowly released over a period of time. I've taken Omeprazole from both Dr. Reddy's and Sandoz. Dr. Reddy's works much better for me. If it's the difference in inactive ingredients used, then, in my experience that makes a big difference. ## Inactive ingredients do usually make a significant difference in the overall efficacy of these medications. Certain binders/fillers which may or may not be present in each brand, are detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Due to the sensitive nature of the matter, I'm frustratingly surprised that doctor's and pharmacists don't take any time out to mention this to their patients after giving them a completely different script without any prior consent. I was on omeprazole for about 3 years and it worked great. The last time I had it refilled it made my acid reflux worse and gave me nausea. The capsules are a different color than what I had been taking, is it possible they switched to a different type. ## What are the markings on the capsules?
