Omeprazole And Propranolol

Re. person with hair loss - I have been on propranalol and omeprazole for a few weeks now and prior to these drugs have suffered hair loss for a few years so can't blame the new drugs. Have taken levothyroxine and atvorstatin for years and wonder if one or both these could be the culprit. I suppose no drugs are without side effects. ## That is correct, all drugs carry the risk of causing side effects, it's just the nature of what happens, when we add a chemical to the body to try to correct a problem. Of the ones you've list, both the Propranolol and the Levothyroxine can cause hair loss, as reported by the U.S. FDA. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination. Is there anything else I can help with?

My hair is falling out, I think I will be bald soon. I am taking Inderal/Propranolol 10 mg, 4 times a day; Omeprazole/Prilosec, once a day; Amitriptyline 50mg once at night; Ibuprofen 800mg 3 times a day...for migraines and body pain. Can I take Omeprazole or Lansoprazol / Domperidon (Topdom Cap) with Propranolol; and sometimes an antihistamine and pandol sinus and an antibiotic or cough syrup? ## Hello, Khalid! How are you? I need to know how long after taking levothyroxine in the morning I need to wait BEFORE taking my omeprazole, caffeine, clonazepam, gabapentin, deplin and propranolol? (I know to wait one-half to one hour before taking any FOOD.) ## Hi Suzie, This is just my theory, but I think timing just depends on which medications interact with each other and which ones don't. Based on my research, propranolol interacts with both clonazepam and levothyroxine, and clonazepam interacts with omeprazole. So taking any of these together does present a risk factor.
