omeprazole dr 2-mg - - - started 02/17/10 - - - 1 capsule a day - - have had stomach pain and watery diarrea the past 4 days/also some vomiting. So I have not taken my medications until today!!! Since I have started feeling better -- I resumed my medications today -- this afternoon the stomach pain has returned and the feeling that the diarrea is allso about to resume! ## Omeprazole can cause some stomach pain and diarrhea as side effects when you first start taking it. It should taper off as your body adjusts to the medication. If it doesn't, you will need to contact your doctor. Have you spoken to them about it?

I've been taking this tablet for 2 mnths. Before this I was on Nexium. The last week I feel nauseus, my stomach is burning and the last 2 days I've got terrible headaches. I was on omeprazole for about 3 years and it worked great. The last time I had it refilled it made my acid reflux worse and gave me nausea. The capsules are a different color than what I had been taking, is it possible they switched to a different type. ## What are the markings on the capsules? I have been prescribed Omeprazole 20mg once a day in ams, plus Clorid/Clidi5-2.5 mg 3x daily before meals for gastro bloating, discomfort after each meal. The combo seems to work since I began 3 days ago. Maybe some extra sleepiness. Questions: Rx info sheet mentions some problems with this combo.
