I take Omeprazole CR 40mg 30min-1hr before supper. Is there a problem if I take my calcium at the same time. My calcium is time released. The capsule is green on one side, blue on the other and contains 40 mgs of Omeprazole. I have been taking it for two weeks and just this weekend started experiencing back pain, groin pain and have a great deal of gas. I originally take OMEPRAZOL DR 40MG CAP APO. Now I take OMEPRAZOL DR 20MG CAP APO and it doesn't work as well as the 40MG CAPS... Can I take 2 of the 20MG CAPSULES? ## Hello, Arneta! How are you? Well, it is a lower dosage, so it's not going to work as well as the higher dosage did. It will take awhile for your body to adjust to the lower dosage. However no, you shouldn't raise the dosage again, without your doctor's approval. Long-term use of these PPIs risks hip fractures, according to FDA warnings. I JUST STARTED TAKING THIS MEDICATION AND I HAVE BEEN ON VICTOZA FOR 6 MONTHS NOW I HAVE STOMACH PAIN NAUSEA IS IT THE VICTOZA INTERACTING WITH THIS NEW MED ## There are no interactions listed between the two, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. It is possible that the Omeprazole is causing the nausea and stomach pain. It has been known to do that to some people. I experienced it, as well and had to switch to a different medication.

I have a pink/blue capsule with G232 G on it. I think it is Prilosec, not sure. Everything I have found gives a different color. ## Glenmark Generics lists this capsule as being orange and purple, they say it contains 40mgs of Omeprazole in a time released formulation.
