3 Topics FoundI have Blod pressure 170/100 doctor prescribe me Olmy-A please give detail information of this drug. Pill contain Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg and Amlodipine 5 mg ## I am taking 1tab. OLMY - 20 along with 1tab. ASOMEX - R (Amlodipine 2.5mg + Ramipril 2.5mg) in the morning between 10-12am just after lunch since last 8 years but my BP continue to remain 160/110 and some times goes as high as 220/120 in both the cases I do not feel uncomfortable. Only yesterday my Doctor advised me to increase the Dose of OLMY from 20 to 40 to take in the morning and ASOMEX - R 1tab in the evening. Is there any one who can guide me properly. ## Vipul, Olmesartan is an ARB and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker and both have been proven effective at lowering blood pressure and treating cardiac conditions...

why are the above medicines used? ## These are not available in the U.S. so I have no information on them, I am also adverse to doing anyone elses homework for them. yesterday I checked my blood after fasting GGT is 101.2 in May count is vdery normal and three months before liver function test done everything normal. I am taking rosuvas10, Olmy D20, Remylin d,vernace acetyl L carnitine and AMIT 10 for neck shoulder pain.Please advise me whether any madicine needed for it. ## That is elevated, but the proper answer on whether it requires any treatment depends on what's causing it. It may just be due to one, or more of your medications and doesn't necessarily mean permanent liver damage. Learn more liver function details here. Have you been scheduled for another blood test in a month or so? Usually, it would require several readings to definitively show that something is wrong and for action to be required.
