My jar of pills has an strong odor that smells as if fumes of what smells like a herbicide and it seems to be more so as the days go by. The pills have a volitile like oder. What could this be? ## What type of pills are they? There are some medications that do have an unusual odor, that may get stronger as they age and some that should fade. I think i suffer from hyperhydrosis. Why do i have high body odor for so long and how can i stop it? I am out of options ## It is hard to guess as to why you have this issue. Do you sweat a lot? I've been taking MiraLAX for over five years now on a regular basis and I've had no problems. My problem now is the last two bottles that I bought had a chemical odor smelled like kerosene. The bottles were fresh I did buy them at Sam's Club but cannot understand why these two bottles had a strange smell even after it was mixed up. I had the mirena inserted in early February and bled heavily for the first 3 weeks. That has slowed down to a very slight spotting and not really bothersome. Have been on Eliquis for about 4 weeks as a result of an AFib event and ER visit, turning into a week hospital stay. Terrible side effects. I sway between teeth-chattering coldness to profuse heat and sweating. My bedding is soaked through every night. But, worse of all is this funky medicinal body odor that I can't escape, even with 3-4 baths/showers a day. It's so disgusting that it makes me sick to my stomach. Also have awful metallic taste in mouth, so all food or drink tastes terrible. Along with the fatigue, insomnia, memory problems, these effects are making this drug intolerable for me. I hate to be indelicate but I have noticed something strange since taking Eliquis. My urine and bowel movements smell different and I wondered if anyone else had noticed this. I would describe it as sort of a toasted oaty fragrance. I am not making this up or being weird. My husband has recently started taking xarelto after having a clot in each leg. The clots have dissolved however his feet are still swollen and his body odor is extremely strong. I can smell the xarelto coming from his pours it's very distinctive and over powering. He has never had an odor before he is a vegetarian and lives a very healthy life style. I have been taking Contrave for a couple of months now and this last bottle's tablets smell terrible. None of the other bottles have smelled like this.
