Got a pill that had OC on the front and 40 on the back...Took it and felt nothing... Looked at pics online and noticed the 4 on the 40 imprint was different. .. the online pics has the 4 open and not joined...Actually mine looked like ( 40).. the 4 is closed not open... im thinking its fake.. ## Hello, Rufus! How are you? It most likely was, because these are no longer being manufactured. Purdue changed the formulation to help prevent abuse and the new tablets use the marking OP on them. They discontinued the original formulation with the OC on them. The FDA lists Oxycodone as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It's best not to take anything that hasn...

it's a octagon shaped yellow pill with 40 written on one side and the other side is blank. ## i found a yellow ocatgon pill with the number 40 on one side of it shouls i be concern? ## This is an Opana 40 mg ER (extended release). It is a very potent pain killer. I have been taking this medication since Oct 09 and not only is it very strong, but it is extremely hard to get off of if you have been on it for over 2 weeks. The withdrawl is very bad. I had non stop vomiting when I tried to stop this medication. I have done searches on the internet for this medication and have found that most people who are taking this for recreational purposes instead of pain control are also abusing the medication to get an immediate intense high. I would be very concerned about this medication. ## the...

I hope everyone will reply to my post. I 'am like thousand of good people who live in pain every minute of the day. And now since Purdue the makers of Oxycontin has reformulated the OC to OP we all suffer. I like all has called Purdue with my concerns not only a complaint on how this new Oxycontin does not work and its side effects. What I will do if I have enough people to respond is to set up a FACEBOOK page were people can add his or her story about how the OP do not work, what side affects he or she is having. Also where everyone can boycott any medication that Purdue sells. When at the Pharmacy ask the Pharmacist to give you another brand of medication not one made by Purdue. Trust me there are many other drug companies who make the same day to day medication we take. From bloo...

Came across a yellowish brown pill with oc on one side and 40 on the other. I was thinking it might be oxys but the number 4 caught my eye. Its closed off at the top otger oxys I came across always had a open 4. The 4 looks just like the one used here 4. They are from the Philippines that much I know. ## Hello bongomatix, From what I could gather, it looks like you are right about the legitimate 40mg Oxycontin having an "open ended 4" on them. The pill you came across seems to fit every other aspect of the description of a 40mg Oxycontin. But on top of that, with it being from the Philippines I have a good hunch that it's probably counterfeit/fake, since its real manufacturer is US based. Hopefully you didn't spend too much money on it, because legitimate manufacturers d...

It is opana 40 mg, its very strong its probably equivalent to 2 oxy 80's. So if you get ahold of one of these DO NOT ABUSE THEM and do not do more than half at once unless you tolerence is extemely high. ## That is correct, it is a 40mg Opana tablet, which contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, a very potent narcotic analgesic. I am suffering high blood pressure 150/84 and cholesterol. Can I take Ecosprin and Tazloc 40 together? Are there any side effects? ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Ecosprin (Aspirin) and Tazloc (Telmisartan). This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, so I still think it's imperative that you discuss this with your doctor first. However, I do tend to trust the research stemming from universities of this caliber. Also, if you are taking both meds together it would be particularly difficult to distinguish the origin of side effects that do occur as being attributed to either medication in and of itself vs a reaction that was caused by the two of them together. This is a larg...

Greetings, I just went to my doctor today and she is switching me from Celexa 20mg to Viibryd 40mg. I notice a lot of you have stated that you titrated the medication up to 40mg. My doctor is starting me off at 40mg and now I'm worried. I understand both Celexa and Viibryd are both SSRI's and maybe that is why she is starting me off so high!? But I take my first dose in the morning.. I'm kind of worried that I should be on the starter pack. Any suggestions? ## Hello, JustMe! How are you? Asking your doctor about it would be the only way to get a definitive answer, however, it is most likely that they are just trying to help you do a clean switch from one to other in order to prevent any withdrawal and rebound effects. Since you were already on one, there is a risk of such oc...

i have been taking oxy oc 60mg 2aday as prescribed never abused them last month it was swiched to 60mg of the new oxy op not nearly as effective and double the cost ## Switching to the new one has nothing to do with abuse, everyone has to switch, because they are no longer making the original. Once the pharmacies run out of their current supply, they will all have the new product and can only fill prescriptions with it. There have been many complaints that it is not as effective in the new formulation and some people have mentioned having weird side effects. I suggest reporting the problem to Purdue and the FDA. Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Are there any questions or comments?

Has anybody tried Opana vs OC 80? Any feedback would be helpful. ## What dosage of the Opana? The Oxymorphone in it is actually twice as strong as the Oxycodone, so if you were taking 40mgs of it, then the equivalent dose of Oxycodone would be 80mgs. Both can be effective at controlling pain, it just requires a dosage adjustment. You should also know that there are no more Oxycontin OCs. Purdue has changed the formulation and they are now Oxycontin OP. Are there any questions or comments? Does anyone else have advice to add? ## i have and they work fair for pain but made me very tired. ## DO NOT GET THE NEW OPANA 40MG ER, THEY ARE JUCK A LORTAB 10/325 WORK BETTER BEFORE A OPANA WOULD BLOW OXYCONTIN THE NEW ONE (OP)AWAY BUT NOT NOW,MY DR PUT ME BACK ON THE NEW OPANA DO NOT WORK IN 2 WEEK...

I have a prescription for this medicine and it says to take one tablet twice daily. I get terrible terrible headaches and one simply is not enough. I usually take 2 at a time, but gave occasionally taken up to 5 in order for this medcine to work. This medicine makes me extremely dizzy (even after only taking two pills). Are there any other side effects/ long term effects other than liver damage? also, how severe is the liver damage this medicine can cause? I also heard this medicine is basically a strong Advil, is that true? Also, since only one pill does not work for me, is there a higher dose that can be considered safe? ## Before I can answer all of your questions, I need to know the specific details of what medication you're asking about. You only list Acetaminophen and Caffeine...
