I hope everyone will reply to my post. I 'am like thousand of good people who live in pain every minute of the day. And now since Purdue the makers of Oxycontin has reformulated the OC to OP we all suffer. I like all has called Purdue with my concerns not only a complaint on how this new Oxycontin does not work and its side effects. What I will do if I have enough people to respond is to set up a FACEBOOK page were people can add his or her story about how the OP do not work, what side affects he or she is having. Also where everyone can boycott any medication that Purdue sells. When at the Pharmacy ask the Pharmacist to give you another brand of medication not one made by Purdue. After viral in last week of august again i had dengue From october 03. on oct 10 i came out. But My fever remains 99 to 99.6 throughout the day. My doctor gave me Augmentin 650 but no relief, Stomach tab but no relief. At last My doctor gave me oflox 400. It is opana 40 mg, its very strong its probably equivalent to 2 oxy 80's. So if you get ahold of one of these DO NOT ABUSE THEM and do not do more than half at once unless you tolerence is extemely high. ## That is correct, it is a 40mg Opana tablet, which contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, a very potent narcotic analgesic. i have been taking oxy oc 60mg 2aday as prescribed never abused them last month it was swiched to 60mg of the new oxy op not nearly as effective and double the cost ## Switching to the new one has nothing to do with abuse, everyone has to switch, because they are no longer making the original. Once the pharmacies run out of their current supply, they will all have the new product and can only fill prescriptions with it. There have been many complaints that it is not as effective in the new formulation and some people have mentioned having weird side effects. I suggest reporting the problem to Purdue and the FDA. Has anybody tried Opana vs OC 80? Any feedback would be helpful. ## What dosage of the Opana? The Oxymorphone in it is actually twice as strong as the Oxycodone, so if you were taking 40mgs of it, then the equivalent dose of Oxycodone would be 80mgs. Both can be effective at controlling pain, it just requires a dosage adjustment. You should also know that there are no more Oxycontin OCs. Purdue has changed the formulation and they are now Oxycontin OP. Are there any questions or comments? Got my script filled a few days and didn't notice til today that they're OPs. I've also been sick for the past few days - Do OPs make anyone else sick? Lightheaded, dizzy, sleepy, nauseous, flu-like, can't function. I was told this yellow pill with P and a 40 on opposite sides was an oxy tamper proof. Not sure tho cuz what I have found on the net is that genetics have an OP. I'm from Canada so I'm not sure. I have used lots of op 40, 60, and 80s and we all know they are chewy and are hard to abuse. Well it's been awhile since I had a real oc 80 and I can't remember what they taste like. Are the chewable? The ones I cam across say oc on one side and 80 on the other. They are a greenish color. Are they real or fake? ## That is the correct color and marking of the genuine Oxycontin 80mg tablet. Hospitals and pharmacies are allowed to continue to dispense them, until their supply is exhausted, at which time they will also be forced to switch to the new formulation. On top of that, with all the diversion that occurred due to theft, I am sure they will still be found on the streets for a long time to come. Are there any other comments or questions?
