I have a white oblong pill with I8 on it, can anyone tell me what this is? ## The marking is actually IB and this is NOT a narcotic of any type, it is a discontinued tablet of 200mgs of Ibuprofen, a generic or store brand for over the counter Advil or Motrin. What is it? ## What is the name of the medication that is white, oblong with the number 18 on one side? ## Is the marking possibly I8? As in a capital i? If so this tablet is manufactured by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and they list it as containing 800mgs of Ibuprofen. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.

Founf a white oval pill on the floor of my car (just bought it used) it is not scored on either side & is imprinted with I8 on one side. If it is from the United States, then the predominant possibility is that it is actually an Ibuprofen 800 mg. Another similar marking is IB (instead of an 8), and that's a 200 mg Ibuprofen.
