I just moved from NYC to the Florida panhandled. I am having a difficult time finding a pain management doctor who will continue the meds I have been on for a broken back, failed spinal fusion. I take oxycondone and soma. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My other choice is to fly back to NY. Many thanks ## You will probably need to fly back to New York for now. However after a reasonable amount of time your out of state providers might cut you off and tell you to find a Doctor in your area ## I know this is older but just in case you're still looking...Dr. David Norfleet in crestview. They take insurance. He has no bedside manner and honestly I don't like him BUT after the first visit you see the NP and she is WONDERFUL! Very caring! The office staff is beyond rude....

I need a doc who will write roxi/oxicodone in NYC, Have Mri. Dont mind up to $250 for visit for month supply of 30's or 60's. Will pay up to 350 a visit for 90 day script. Am legitimately in pain.ecywi ## I'm sorry, but the first piece of news I have for you is that they can't give you a 90 day prescription, the drug laws for controlled substances only allow doctors to write them for a maximum of 30 days and you have to be seen at an evaluation appointment each month to get a new prescription. My Neurologist in nyc has had me on 30mg oxy (PO every 4-6 hrs), which I have been taking for the last 2 years. I just moved to Charlotte NC and I need a doctor who will do a similar routine. southeastern pain care is not one of them. I just won 10, and without any examination, this position told me that I have fibromyalgia and that I need to be on fibromyalgia medication. He didn't examine me, he didn't do anything. He did give me medication for withdrawal. Anyhelp would be appreciated so much. ## What condition are you diagnosed with? If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you will need to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year. I'm willing to travel the 60 miles in any direction as long as the doctor is relatively easy to deal with. I suffer from. Back pain. ## Hi Larry, In regards to find a pain doctor I have listed below a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other site a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd suggest calling up a number of them to see if they prescribe the type of medication you are seeking to manage your pain...

I am looking for a pain doctor who prescribes methadone for pain in the Philadelphia are ## I've been on methadone pain management for over 10 years and recently moved from n.j to ny I need to find a doctor in nyc area that can help I'm on 200mgs a day ## Both of you will find it much easier to find a doctor if you aren't calling around asking if they'll prescribe any certain medication, because most doctors consider that to be drug seeking behavior. The best thing you can both do is to find a new physician and make sure that they receive a full copy of your medical records. If they can see what does and doesn't work for you, as documented by a fellow physician, they will be more likely to prescribe accordingly. Learn more Methadone details here. Does anyone else hav...

10 years ago when I was a mover in NYC it was super easy, and affordable to pick an online doctor who would then call me, evaluate me and prescribe pain meds that they FedExed to me. It seems like those places don't exist anymore. These were real prescriptions. Does anyone know of a real doctor that still does this online? I wasted $210 on an office vistit at a "Pain management" place in Austin and they wanted to give me Tramadol. All that stuff does is make me dizzy and does nothing for my pain. Thanks for any help. ## Hi, Steven! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. However no, that type of prescribing isn't legal and actually never was, so severe crackdowns have been done to put an end to it. According to law, in order to prescribe anything for any reas...
