Roferon A Interferon Alfa-2a

Interferons (IFNs, /ntrfrn/[1]) are a group of signaling proteins[2] made and released by host cells in response to the presence of several viruses. In a typical scenario, a virus-infected cell will release interferons causing nearby cells to heighten their anti-viral defenses. IFNs belong to the large class of proteins known as cytokines, molecules used for communication between cells to trigger the protective defenses of the immune system that help eradicate...

Hi, I am rx'd ntrexone for alcoholism and it's working, reducing cravings and all. I was a half a bottle of vodka type drinker. Now, when I take one shot of vodka, I get really sick and nauseous. Does this happen to anyone else? I thought naltrexone allowed you to still drink, but reduces alcohols effect on your pleasure receptors. I tried switching to beer or wine and still get sick. I guess that's a good thing but was wondering if anyone else feels this side effect when the drs and drug companies say it does not make you sick like Antabuse. Thanks. ## Hello, Meg! How are you? Naltrexone can cause nausea as a side effect and combining it with alcohol will intensity that side effect. So, it's not designed to work like Antabuse, but will affect some people in a very simil...

I have been prescribed Norco 7.5-10 mg prn for 4 yrs. I sometimes take none for 2 weeks but then have a lot of pain and take about 4-6 per week as needed. I had to have a hair follicle test. It says cut off is 200 pg/mg and my quantitative result was 2309 pg/mg. What does that mean? ## Hi ntrubl, In regards to your hair follicle test results, I get the sense that the cut off level of 200 pg/mg is simply referring to the "lowest detectable amount" which can be picked up by the test. Since your results were 2309 pg/mg, this isn't necessarily saying that you had a LOT in your system, but it does imply that you had much more than the minimum amount that could be detected. Does this make sense? I would also encourage you to contact the lab who performed the evaluation if you'...

When may I pick up my refill? My bottle reads, "take two a day if needed for anxiety" and she only prescribed me 30. May I pick them up in 15 days? ## Sounds like you can although look on the bottle for the listed days supply of the medicine as your Doctor could have indicated a Month ## Wonderer, If ordered twice daily then it would be 15 days from the original day that it was dispensed. HOWEVER some prescribers will specify Ntr X30 days. best consult your pharmacist or prescriber for exceptions to the sig.some doctors write orders that contain a do not refill until date. ## I have to agree with the others that have posted, you need to check the label or check with your pharmacist, because your doctor may not be expecting you to need 2 every day, thus they may have designated i...
