My Mother having the medicine Novastat cv 10 once in a day (at night). Her dentist advise her to stop this medicine for couple of days before and after pull of a wisdom tooth as there would be possibility of non stop bleeding. Please advise if she can stop for few days or any alternate options. ## She should follow her dentist's instructions for the best outcome, and for her own safety. The dentist is correct that this medication can create an increased risk of bleeding, since it contains Clopidogrel, with Rosuvastatin, the former of which is a blood thinner that prevents clotting. Is she on any other medications?

I am taking Novastat 10 and find it to have affected my sleep very badly My doctor insisted that I should continue with Novastat 10. Can I not take a substitute medicine for Novastat 10 like atorva etc? ## Hello, Arunabha! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. And yes, you should be able to try an alternative medication, unless your doctor has some specific reason why you can't do so. Did they say anything else about it? You do need to do something, if your cholesterol is high, but there are several other alternatives available.

I take Metolar XR 50, Cardace H 5 in the morning and Clavix 75 and Novastat TG 10 in the night. I used have disturbed sleep in the nights with dreams and occasionally dizziness in the morning between 9 to 11 AM. Are these side effects and can I put up with them. I am 81yr old and suffering from high blood pressure I am not dabetic ,no artery blockage.Iwas taking nebicard5mg in the morning and minipres xl 5mg inevening from last 18months these days my B P remains high in the range of 200/100 Dr added sartel40 in morning but there is no decrease ln my BP I also take atchol ASP at bed time ## After applying stent my Dr advised me to take sartel 40, ecosprin 70, novastate 10 and clavix. I am a retired person. i used tobacco (chewing+ smoking). Suddenly i stopped about two years back. It was all right for about two months when I had some time utilization with an engineering college after my retirement which could not continue. Suddenly i had some stroke (Probably mental) and felt uneasiness with some tension. I consulted some physicians and got ecg done which was o.k.
