Does anyone know of Dr who prescribes MS Contin for pain in Louisiana? Close to Slidell, I just moved here from Tx, and have tried one dr and called numerous with no results. I've tried many alternatives with no luck either and info would be helpful! ## Unfortunately, you will not likely have any good results if you are calling doctors, and asking if they prescribe any controlled substance. The person answering the phone at their office has no way of knowing if the person that called is a legitimate patient with a need, or just a drug seeker, so they are usually instructed to just tell you that they don't prescribe them, and get you off the phone. The same happens with most pharmacies if you just call to ask them about filling a prescription for a controlled substance. The only ...

I HAVE BEN ON METHADONE NOW FOR 16 YEARS TRIED TO GET OFF NOW 3 TIMES ALLERGIC TO SUBOXONE BUT NOT SUBUTEX,CAN NOT FIND A DOCTOR WHO WILL PERSCRIBE ME IT ON MY INSURANCE? WILL TAKE MY INS. ON SUBOXONE?NOT ONE DOCTOR WHO WILL PERSCRIBE ME SUBUTEX? ## Hello, John! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Is your allergy listed in your medical records? If not, that might be the problem. Suboxone is preferred, because it helps prevent the abuse of other medications, while someone is under treatment with it, as listed by the FDA. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, Subutex is a last resort and only used, when someone has docume...

Looking for a doctor who prescribes methadone for pain in massachusetts ## Hello, Eric! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. If you require such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis for chronic pain, you'll have to see a pain management specialist, since a PCP will no longer be able to prescribe it for you. And the only thing you can really do is set up an appointment with a specialist, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records, then keep the appointment so you can discuss what they will or will not do to help you. If you aren't happy with them, you'll have to try someone else. However, you can't ask about any specific medication, when y...

My dr. Wants me to stop my 200mg trazadone taken nightly for depression anxiety and sleep. And start taking 15 mg temazepam at night. Is it safe to just stop the trazadone like that. ## Hello, Scared! How are you? Stopping it abruptly might cause some withdrawal and rebound effects, but your doctor might be hoping to stave those off with the addition of the Temazepam. It is a benzodiazepine that can be used to treat the same types of problems, but it does carry the risk of being habit forming. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Learn more Temazepam details here. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?

I live in Sioux Falls SD and I am trying to find a doctor that will prescribe pain meds. I had a pain management doctor that prescribed 4 10 mg hydrocodones a day, but moved to Nevada. Now I have moved back and she is full and can’t see me. I have arthritis, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disorder and a spinal fusion. My doctor keeps sending me in for epidurals for my lower back, and they sometimes work for two or three months, but it doesn’t help with the pain every where else. I work 10 hour days and barely make it through. Thinking about filling for disability, but I know it’s a long road. ## Very few, if any, people will recommend pain Doctors because that will normally cause too many people to come to them. The Doctor may think that they have bee...

I want to thank the DEA on behalf of millions of people who's had there doctor's prescribed prescriptions changed from a class III to a class II on Oct. 6th 2014. Hope the hell you don't find yourself in need of pain medicine in your coming years. I sure would like to know what your little secret is going to be to obtain pain relief when you need it. There seems to be no recourse for this change, I thought this was still America, God help us. ## @slick, I don't blame you one bit. It's beginning to look a lot like the survival of the fittest now when it comes to the scarcity of available working pain meds. Only the one's on top with a special badge on their chest seem to have say over what you are or aren't allowed to take based on their misconstrued policies,...

A Doctor who accepts Cigna Healthcare for Suboxone and any free coupons in this are 36541. ## Hello, Victoria! How are you? You can search for doctors in you area by using the search engine on the website at Suboxone.com click here. Their contact information will be included, so you can contact them to see if they accept your insurance and are taking new patients. Any discount programs or coupons, if available, will also be listed on that site. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been on lortab 10 taking 3 per day, soma 3 per day. have been for 10 years for my back, neck, and knees. Had surger on all 3 areas. I am on medicare. If you can help I would ge grateful. my doctor passed away so that is why I am looking for a doctor. ## You'll most likely get more responses if you can post back with your general location. You don't need to be specific, but the closest large city would certainly help. A website like this is open to people all over the world, so if you're in LA and someone else knows a doctor in Philadelphia, it's not going to be of much help to you. Can you post back with more details please?

I have been on large doses of opioid pain medicine for 8 years. My conditions require it for me to walk and do anything out of bed. Now they are stopping it. I'm not ready to lay down the last couple years of my life, I want to spend it standing. Opioids have been used over 4000 years and a very smart Indian rheumatologist told me they have killed less people than most of the man made pharmaceuticals. My dose is high, but never needed changed. I really need a Pittsburgh doctor that can help me with the next 2 years of my life. I would placate the doctors and just go to bed, but I have 2 perfect boys. Unfortunately my youngest, 16, started having epilepsy in October. He needs me to get through this. I am living in cincinnati and I have united health care insurance and I am in desperate need of finding a suboxone doctor who either takes either united healthcare or who has affordable prices for suboxone treatment I am tired and I need help. Please if anyone can give me any insight my email is . Thank you and god bless. ## You can use the search feature at the website Suboxone.com to see if there is anyone in your area that treats with it, but the only way to discover what coverage they accept is by calling them to check. And since the medication is still very new, most prices, for both office visits and the medication itself, are not cheap in any area. Does anyone else have any ideas or advice to add?
