Nose Bleeding

I am on Celebrex for my knee arthritis . It works well but is causing me to get nosebleeds often .Any solutions to this problem ? ## What dosage are you taking? The FDA does warn that it can increase the risk of bleeding, as well causing other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach pain. Are you on any other medications? How severe are the nosebleeds?

When taking Eliquis as an alternative to Warfarin, I was bleeding from nose, kidneys and bowels with black stools and copious bleeding from a slight scratch. Also easy bruising with purple bruise marks. I have now stopped taking this medication and all bleeding stopped, but there is a lingering effect of purple bruising.Will I ever recover from this? Fortunately I have had no other major side effects but I shall never take this medication again. I am a 39 yr old female. I had my 2nd open heart in Jan. to fix an AORCA & developed a sizeable DVT due to the closure device used when taking me off the pump. I had another surgery to remove the DVT & insert a stent & was sent home on Warfarin, Lovenox, plavix & aspirin. I had episodes of nosebleeds & blood in my urine which the doc said was probably due to the plavix & would likely stop in Mar. when I stopped the plavix. When the shots & warfarin didn't budge my INR they referred me to the clotting & bleeding specialist who put me on 20 mg of Xarelto daily & told me to take iron 3 times a day. Since I started diltiazem 8 days ago I have had 4 nose bleeds. Is that coincidence or could the drug be causing the nosebleeds? ## Hi Sharon, As strange as it may sound, "unusual bleeding or bruising" is listed as a severe side effect of this drug; in which case it suggests that you contact your doctor immediately. Recently I had a serious migraine and head cold with irritation in my chest. I took an otc cold and sinus medicine and not even a day later I started blowing my nose, but the problem was not only mucus coming out. I noticed that I was having bad nose bleeding and soft tissue was coming out. Please someone tell me what you think this was? I told my doctor and he said since I didn't keep it he wouldn't be able to tell me. This is now happening frequently and I'm not sure what to make of this. I have been taking 1/2 of a 37.5 mg phentermine for about a month now. I have lost 10 lbs and am extremely excited about this. However today while at work my nose started dripping as if it was bleeding. However it was not warm like blood, it was cool just as if my nose was runny. The strange part was it was rust colored, it almost seemed like it was mixed with blood. It only dripped a few times and when I blew my nose there was only a small amount left in there but this happened twice today. I was started on Cymbalta 60 mg after Celexa had stopped helping me with my depression. After almost a month on the drug, I began to have nosebleeds and my blood pressure was extremely high. I had never had high blood pressure or a nose bleed in my life and I am 54 years old! They became uncontrollable and I had to be hospitalized and have an epistaxis embolization. Can I use this for nose bleeding. I am a rheumatic heart disease patient and taking ACITROM 2mg. For past few weeks I was down with viral fever with cold. Last night, my son had a nose bleed. After I got the bleeding to stop by pinching his nose for about 8 to 10 minutes his sinuses then drained. He's been on Histatussin for three days now. Is this normal? My son is 7 yrs old and he also has a sinus condition. My local pharmacist recommended this medicine, Histatussin. Is this good for sinus for a child of his age? I want to quit warfarin due to potential and actual bleeding . Had a two day nose bleed and still going. I was given warfarin because of afib. since then ( 9 months ) i have controlled my afib pretty well. I will see my doctor soon to get his input but wondering if I will experience any rebound or withdrawal effect ? I have acute and ongoing rhinitis. I was on Flucatizone, but now I have an irritated, burning and bleeding nose. Will Deselex help for my chronically blocked nose? What are the long term effects of aspirin? ## my father is taken aspirin 30mg this that can cause bleeding in the nose ## It is possible, since it does thin the blood, however, there is no way for us to say for sure. I suffered a similar problem when I was on narcotic pain management. Aspirin can also increase the risk of gastro-intestinal bleeding. How long will it be before this is out of system. I had a lot of trouble with it, dry mouth , dry nose so dry it was bleeding, dissyness terrible cough and up set stomach .
