Has anyone had problems with lamotrigine (generic Lamictal) manufactured by Northstar Rx ## My pharmacy changed my Teva brand of Lamotrigine to North Star brand. Has anyone noticed a difference with the difference switching brands? ## Yes. I take lamotrigine for bi-polar depression. I have found that the Northstar version of the drug doesn't work. I took it and my mood crashed. Then I got back on the Teva made lamotrigine, and my mood stabilized. I believe the Northstar product in effective. Try to get your prescribing physician to write "Teva - DAW" on your script. ## My original Hyzaar was refilled by mail with Losartan Hctz 100 by Northstar and I think I'm having serious side effects that I just now attribute to the bp med. My legs are cramping; hip joints hurt; panti...

My mom in law is 98 and she takes losartan/hctz, she didn't realize it's for bp she thot it was water only and she takes it every other day. What complications could she have she's afraid to take it everyday because she has to urinate more often. ## Hello, Ruthi! How is she doing? I would suggest speaking to her doctor. She can get the Losartan without the Hydrochlorothiazide and just switch to it, or take it on the alternating days to get better control of her blood pressure. Along with more frequent urination, she may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Take her to a urologist. I also had frequent urination and then they switched me to long acting meds which I thought helped, however after seeing a urologi...

I have been taking this medicine for a short while. The firat 30 days my no was well controlled but I've had a serious backache for about 2 weeks. At refill, it was switched to another brand, North star Rx LL. My bp is again staying elevated, 150/95 consistently, and the backache is gone. Is it possible that I got a bad batch? ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? It is rather difficult to say, it could be that it's just not working well for you. What type of foods do you eat? Do you watch your sodium? How much fluid do you drink each day? Are you on any other medications? Do you get lots of exercise? Have you spoken to the prescribing doctor about it?

So my wife recently switched to Walmart to get her Fluoxetine 20MG tabs to save money. She ended up with Northstar Rx LLC brand pills. These are blue dark/light with A106 on them. It's been 3 days now of anxiety, diarrhea, and just all out feeling bad. When we were looking up the manufacturing info I was shocked to see that Northstar is actually shipping these to be produced for them by: Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited in India.... What the hell? Is this legal? I thought the FDA has been telling us time and time again that meds from overseas are unsafe and can not be trusted... Now this LLC (which means they carry little/no liability) is being allowed to import them and sell them here in the states??? I'm really upset, especially when I read other posts online from others who ar...

Been on generic by Northstar for over a year then this last June 2013 I filled my rx again and within 48 hours I went thru syptoms like withdrawl. Trembling, dizzy, nauseous, weak, disoreinted, crying hysterically. This went on for several days. I even went to emergency room and was told my ct scan and blood work came back fine. This went on for a few more days. I asked pharmacy to give me a new refill because I suspected something may have been wrong with this last refill. I improved days later. Very odd. I had been stable for at least two years. Treatment bipolar. I have sent a report to Fda this week and hope that they will test that bottle I suspect might be bad. Anyone else had this problem in the last few months? ## HI, Lena! Sorry about what happened to you. Are you sure the one ...
