Dr. in or around Grensboro, NC I have back, neck, hip and leg issues, take pain meds for these issues and have had meds halved by Primary Care Dr. Trying to get into one place called Guilford Pain Mgt. However iI'm not entirely confident the office will cal to make apt. with me. I heard there is only 1 provider there that's accepting new Medicare pts. and it takes min 2 months.

I'm Kevin, I have bulging discs, degenerative disease, had an mri that showed this. My question is where in Goldsboro, NC can I find a doctor or pain clinic that will prescribe pain meds as I'm opposed to surgery? ## Had surgery and am still dealing with pain. Are there any methadone doctors in or around Guilford county NC that can help me with pain? It just seems like that if you're trying to get pain meds, they think you're an addict. Not everyone is a drug addict. ## I have had hip, leg and knee replacements; also back surgery but cant find a doctor to prescribe me my pain meds in monroe, north carolina. ## Seeing a number of people with a similar problem im having, can anyone give me an answer about a dr. In the Piedmont triad area? Seems like a widespread problem fo...

Hi, I am a disabled single mom, and have been seeing a family doctor who prescribes my pain meds along with everything else. I have a progressive disease I was born with in my spine, and 5 other conditions related to this. The reason I would like to stay with a family doctor is that I don't have the time and money to run all over the area and go to doctor's appts everyday of the week. The office I have been going to, I've now been switched to my 3rd student doctor in 3 years and they've done an across the board change in their pain med policy. They don't care that they aren't treating individual patients needs. My quality of life has gone backwards about 8 years and they have cut my medications to half of what I was taking when I was pregnant. I'm on medicare...

I am a 51 year old woman that is on disibality. I DESPERATLY NEED A DOCTOR.. in or as near as possible to Marion North Carolina, that will take medicade and will prescribe my pain meds and clonazepam along with my other meds. and not treat me like a criminal PLEASE! ## Hello, Nanna! How are you doing? I'm sorry, but due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, if you require such medications on a long-term, ongoing basis, you'll need to see specialists for each related condition. For instance, pain medications will need to be prescribed by a pain management specialist and Clonazepam from another, a PCP can only write now for general medications, such as those for high blood pressure. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to the appropriate doctors? If ...

I have chronic leg pain and suffer from severe daily migraines. I use narcotic meds to treat both and see my primary care provider monthly to follow up. I am getting ready to undergo surgery with a specialist and will require a narcotic not as strong to help me get through for a few days. Can I legally get this filled in North Carolina with the new laws? ## The best person to ask is probably your regular pharmacist. They are used to answering such questions for customers, so there shouldn't be a problem if you speak to them in person to ask. Most state controlled substance laws do contain special exception rules to allow for issues like this, which would be a temporary dosage adjustment, but your pharmacist will be able to provide you with more specific details relevant to NC. The F...

I Lived in new jersey my entire life and i am going to move to Florida about an hour from Daytona. I have bin on pain meds from pain management. I get Roxy 15 4 times a day and oxycontin 30 3 times for 8 years will I be able to get this in Florida ? ## Doubt it. DEA has scared the doctors with prosecutions, life imprisonments and even murder charges down here. It's horrible for legitimate patients to get help. I was on 10mg Percocet in North Carolina and it rook 4 years of jumping through hoops and unhelpful repetitive medical procedures just to get 7.5mg Loratabs. Mind you, this is with 15 years of prior medical records and such. Good luck is all I can say. ## I recently bought a house in Bonita Springs, FL (next to Naples, FL ). When I first arrived w/script for MS Contin 100mg (I...
