My boyfriend got perscribed a blue norco with watson iand 540 on it?1000mg? what does this do?? ## Okay first off, there is no Norco that contains 1,000mgs of anything. The tablets with the WATSON 540 marking contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and constipation. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## Norco is hydrocodone just with less acetaminophen than it's famous cousin Lortab which has 500mg. There is a generic hydrocodone with 650mg acetaminophen, usually green. I familiar with 5mg, 7.5, 10mg hydrocodone and the amount of acetaminophen gives the medication it's name in this case.

I live in Florida and I have a cage in my back for my L1 verabra, 4 screws in my foot, and just have 2 anchors placed in my shoulder for a 75% tear. I have tried to get some pain medication and I'm given tramadole. Waste of a script. It seems like people (Dr) feel like all people are drug seekers and not in chronic pain. How and who should I seek out for help and when I find this person, how do I get more than tramadole for pain???? Please advise. ## I...

My pcp prescribed norco for me until I can see a surgeon for cervical spine pain. He initially gave me a script for 30 with one refill and I was to take one a day. This wasn't enough for the pain, so he called in another script for 25 and wrote it to take one every 6 hours. I refilled the 30 script on the 5th and the pharmacy won't refill the script for 25 today the 15th. Is there any way to get this filled ? ## I would suggest contacting your doctor, it would seem that the pharmacy hasn't noted the dosage change. If they had, there shouldn't be a problem filling it for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What is the pain killing strength of a norco M 355 ## Hi Debbie, Just to clarify a couple of things - M 355 is actually reported to be a 100mg Diclofenac sodium extended-release tablet, made by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. It has no apparent relation to Norco other than the fact that it can also be used for pain relief; just not nearly as strong in my opinion. In terms of "pain killing strength", drug monographs describe Diclofenac as being used to relieve mild to moderate pain, whereas Norco is described as being used to relieve moderate to severe pain. I hope this helps!

are v 3604 and m357's the same pill just diff look and markings? ## Hello, Roach! How are you? No, while they both contain 5mgs of Hydrocodone, the amounts of Acetaminophen are different. The tablet with the 3604 V marking only contains 325mgs of it, while the M 357 tablet contains 500mgs of it and is no longer available. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is a norco 365 stronger then a vicodin 357 and why ## Based on my research, Norco M365 is "weaker" than Vicodin M357. It's simply a matter of each pill containing a different dosage of Acetaminophen. Norco M365 contains: Acetaminophen (325 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (5 mg). Vicodin M357 contains: Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (5 mg). Learn More: Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you. ## Is m365 stronger than m360 in vicodin ? ## I had a doctor prescribe the 5-300 Vicodin, and not only did it cost a whole lot more ($68 for 60 when 120 Norco cost $44), but in didn't work as well as the Norco.

How many can I take in 6 hours? ## Is anyone available to avert my question on here??? How many 367 tabs can I take in 6 hours?? ## Hello, Angie! How are you? I'm very sorry for the delay in responding. Due to construction nearby, our power lines were accidentally cut and down here for most of the weekend, so I was unable to be online. You should follow your doctor's dosing instructions, but that shouldn't exceed 2 tablets in 6 to 8 hours. The Acetaminophen can be toxic, if you take too much of it, at once. Such toxicity could result in liver damage or failure, which has the potential to be fatal. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there an...

In Georgia, can my Dr call in a prescription for Norco 375/10, or does it have to be written? Can my Dr put refills on the prescription, or would I have to see the Dr monthly to get another prescription? ## Hi Jean, I believe it is your doctor's discretion to make these types of decisions, because there are many doctors out there who do call in prescriptions everyday, and it seems to just come down to their willingness to do so on your behalf. My mom actually had her doctor call in her Norco refill a number of times, due to her inability to leave the house frequently; but still had to be there in person to pick it up if that makes sense. However, she lives in California, not Georgia, so this is something you may have to call your doctor about and ask him directly for assistance. I h...

I had a work injury that crushed several discs in my neck and I have recently undergone fusion surgery which went well. However, I was not prepared for the pain I experienced. I have been on 10/325 norco for 7 weeks. I only took the Appropriate Rx amount or less; never more than 5 pills in a day. When I got to the point where I felt like I could manage the pain, I quit taking norco cold turkey. I wigged out. I experienced gnarly anxiety, mood swings, burning in my legs and feet, nausea, and elevated bp. I am trying to wean off the drug on my own but am super discouraged. Can anyone give me pointers on exactly how to do this? ## Have you consulted your doctor for advice? Is excessive sleeping a withdrawal from norco 750? If someone took them for two weeks, then took 8 in one day? ## Hello, Lucy! How are you? No, that is most likely due to an overdose. That is far too many to take in one day. Especially if they are the old ones that contained that much Acetaminophen, taking 8 of them could result in a toxic overdose and this person needs to seek medical attention. Any amounts of Acetaminophen over 3,000 mgs a day can be toxic and very dangerous, it could cause fatal liver failure. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How is the person in question doing?
