According to the FDA's website there is no shortage, so what's going on? Has anyone been able to locate any? accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/drugshortages/default.cfm ## Well I still can't find any in my area. This is ridiculous. It's been a long time and they should have them in stock now. My pharmacy doesn't have a straight answer for what's going on and when they will be available. If anyone finds any in Michigan-suburbs of detroit area Plz say if u have found any ## It takes a while for drug shortages to show on the website. If the Manufactures are still changing the labels from when it was reclassified, there isn't a shortage. It also takes more than one area to report a shortage before it is listed and it depends on who is doing the reporting. Also just beca...

I've been treated for Chronic pain for 7 years or so with Norco 10/325. I've recently transferred to Houston from Western KY and am having a very difficult time finding a pharmacy that has this in Stock? 4th largest city and they do not have this widely used med? Does anyone know of a pharmacy that IS understanding and has this in Stock? I have a prescription but can't find anywhere to get it filled now. ## Helllo, DJ! I am very sorry about the issue you're having finding your medication. Unfortunately, this is something that occurs yearly, and I was just explaining it to someone else with the same problem. The DEA assigns manufacturing limits, each year, for all controlled substances. They did this to help gain better control of the supply of the medications that are mo...

This sounds like a bunch of phooy to me. I have had pain management for several years now and this is the first time that I have Ever had any trouble getting my generic Norco 10/325s, or any other type of hydrocodone medication. It seems as though that from the moment that the DEA put their noses into pain management medications everything has been turned upside down. Now the paper pushers that made all these choices for those of us with chronic pain are not the ones that will have to suffer from any number of things from unnecessary increased pain to the added pain and suffering of withdrawal for those that are long term pain medication users. I am sure that I speak for many out there when I say that IF I could come out on the other side of the painful withdrawal symptoms as a pain fre...

Is anyone else having problems finding a pharmacy to fill their scripts of Norco? I have been taking them for a few years now for my chronic pain. I always go to the same pharmacy chain, and its always the same doctor who writes my scripts, but since the new law change no one seems to have them in stock. Some pharmacists told me it was a manufacturer back order. We are told not to go without our meds, but yet how is that possible if we can't get them? Anyone knows of a pharmacy that has Norco 10/325 in the metro Detroit area? ## Dear Painfully Annoyed, Yes, this appears to be a huge problem at the moment. I have called every pharmacy in my insurance plan and everyone says the same thing. Your not alone, I was told it is a repackaging issue with the manufacturers due to the new laws....

My husband suffers from sciatica and has suffered from it for at least 10 years. He has had 2 major invasive back surgeries to release pressure off of his sciatic nerve. The second surgery got him off of the floor and enabled him to function but only with the help of Norco and Tylenol and Ibuprofen. For some reason there is NO Norco available in Houston or the surrounding suburbs at this time. Does anyone know what is going on? ## I am sorry to hear this as as I also suffer from sciataca and also live in Houston. I was just about to start reaching out to forums such as this one to look for Vicodin or Norco as my doctor put me on Norco but it cannot stop the pain. Can you let me know if you find anyone? my sympathy goes out to all Sciataca sufferers. ## Unfortunately, this happens yearly...

If anyone has any info please share... ## Hello, Fina and Nyla! How are you both? Well, unfortunately, we are into the time of year when there is almost always a shortage of controlled substances. There are mandatory manufacturing limits to help keep better track of the supply and once a company reaches that limit, they can not manufacture anymore, until the new year. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and ...

I have chronic pain due to a plate in my arm and nerve damage. I have tried over 10 pharmacies in the last week and everyone says they've tried ordering it but its not coming. Has anyone had any luck? What are people , like me, supposed to do ? ## I am in the same boat. I am just trying to find someone, anyone, who will give me something!!! I'm in NC and can't find s**t. ## Where in Jacksonville Florida can you get norco filled ## I'm very sorry that you are all having a problem finding your medication. We are now into the time of year when there is usually a shortage of controlled substances due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Once a manufacturer reaches their allotted limit for the year, they cannot manufacture any new product, until after the new year. This is a na...

I've taken pain meds for over 10 years, two years ago the doctor upped my script a bit from Vicodin 7.5/750 (d/day) to Norco 10/325 (3/day) but then last October I couldn't find the 10's anywhere (I prefer to get all my scripts from one pharmacy, a mom & pop shop I've been going to for almost 20 years). So kindly the doc switched me to Norco 7.5/350 (4/day) based on my pharmacy's suggestion. Now the pharmacy has been out for a week! I have no idea when my script will get filled and went to another pharmacy to ask an the said they aren't taking on new pain customers. I offered to transfer all my scripts there, only one is for pain but they still said no. Now what? Is there a shortage again in the Warren/Ferndale area of MI or is this happening across the count...

I have a fractured rib and chronic lower back pain and have been on Norco for a year (7.5-325). I have been switched to Tramadol since this recent shortage. I have not been able to find any pharmacy in the Detroit area that can fill my Norco prescription. I have read that it has been gone to a controlled substance level II, and that they had to relabel everything. I called the manufacturers, and they said that they had relabeled everything, so that wasn't the issue. Then I was told that the pharmacies have to do a ton of paperwork to receive it now. Each pharmacy says they keep ordering, and they keep not getting in shipments. I am really just wondering if anyone knows when pharmacies will be back in stock (or if anyone knows of a particular pharmacy in the detroit area that carries...

What is it going to been my med filled ## Hi Mary, I'm not aware of any current shortages for generic Norco, as there are no official announcements on the FDA's drug shortage list (linked below): accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/drugshortages You may want to ask the pharmacy you go to if it would still be available at a different dosage/quantity than you're used to receiving from your doctor; (after of course making him aware of what's going on as well). From what I've heard in other threads, sometimes they wont fill your script if the dosage or quantity is more than they are prepared to dispense. So any adjustments to that might make it a little easier to fill your script on a regular basis. However I would also encourage you to check with other pharmacies in your area as...

I'm an older man in real pain, I have driven and visited 60 pharmacies in the last 3 days to get my Percocet prescription filled in Las Vegas and am unable to find them! I inquired if I had my prescription changed to Norco. Why can the government force citizens to live in pain, I need a tooth pulled but am afraid to have it done as there will be no pain relief!!! ## Hello, Dave! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you've run into. However, we are now into the time of year when there is virtually always a shortage of controlled substances due to mandatory manufacturing limits. To try to keep better track of the supply, each manufacture can only produce a certain amount each year and once they reach that amount, they can't manufacture any new product until t...

Can anyone tell me why every pharmacy in metro Detroit is out of Norco? They don't know when they will be in? Even the pain center that prescribed it with their own pharmacy is out. ## Shortages just sometimes happen, the manufacturers may have trouble obtaining the raw ingredients, shipping problems or etc. The only thing you can really do is wait it out, or speak to your doctor about possibly prescribing an alternative medication in the meantime. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I understand that it's a pain and I'm sorry about that, but the situation should resolve itself soon. Is there anything else I can he...

In the detroit area there is a incredible shortage of norco. Pharmacy's say they have no info. Called FDA. Release date dec 15th add 3-4 days for delivery from distributors. I'm just trying to be patient but I'm finding it difficult. If you frequent a CVS pharmacy STOP they are so rude. Find a neighborhood pharmacy ## Hello, Sa Bic! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem getting your prescription filled. It is common for shortages to occur towards the end each year, due to DEA mandated manufacturing limits on controlled substances. Once a manufacturer reaches their limit for the year, they can no longer manufacture new product, until after the new year. Inevitable, demand exceeds supply and shortages occur. According to the FDA, this is a narcotic analge...

Called Watson pharmaceutical about back order of norco. I was told by the manufacturer (Watson ) the release date for the distributors nov 7th. Due to new classification of norco which is now a control 2 all pack aging and distribution had to change. They assured me they were sorry for any inconvenience I have been in severe pain as I know many have suffered through this mistake. I'm just so angry with the incompetence of pharmacies, doctors staff Nov 7th arghhhh ## Hello, Sa Bic! How are you? I'm sorry that you've been having a problem finding your medication. I'd also like to caution everyone about the shortages that almost always occur this time of year for controlled substances, due to mandatory manufacturing limits. What pharmacy has yellow norco? I need to fill my prescription. ## Need a pharmacy in sacramento. Ca that carries yellow narcos 10/325 to phiil my percciption ## Hello, Tee! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of pharmacies according to which medication they carry from which manufacturer. Additionally, saying they are yellow isn't enough for someone to know which ones you're seeking. There is currently a shortage, due to mandatory manufacturing limits, so they may not be in stock at any pharmacy, until after the new year. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I've been taking 7.5/325 norco for years now for chronic pain. The last couple of months, its been hard to get my scripts filled. Someone said the fda changed the dosage to 7.5/300.....which is correct? ## Hello, Bonnie! How are you? No, they have made no recent changes, the ones with 325mgs of Acetaminophen are the standard dose. However, fewer companies are manufacturing it, now, which may create a shortage in some areas. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The correct norco strength ## Thank you so much for the info.....I have been taking it since 2003... (4 shoulder surgeries...

cant find any pharmacies in 32097 who have norco 10/325. do you no where to get it? ## Having the same problem. It's the whole state not just Jacksonville. I just pray it comes in ASAP. ## Hello i wanted to know if you had any luck. My mother has bone disease and she really need her norco 10s. Thank you ## I'd actually advise everyone to not get their hopes up for November, either. Friend has Rx.for surgery tomorrow... Doses anyone know which pharmacy has it? ## Hello, Mary! How are you and your friend? I'd actually suggest she check with the hospital pharmacy. This medication has been hard to find right now, due to labeling changes and shortages, but hospital pharmacies usually have a larger supply just for such purposes as surgical pain relief. They might be able to fill it for her. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

The CVS wont fill in Encinitas anymore. CVS, Walgreens and Walmart have company restrictions. No more orders until this State of California decision is changed or further notice. Even Pharmaca will only sell the spotted Activis Watson-and Allen pharmacy in San Diego won't special order them. Any other thoughts? I'm 3 days without and no one will fill my new rx. ## Hello, Sara! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. On top of the shortage that had already been created due to the dosage changes that were made this year, which caused some companies to stop manufacturing this medication, we are also into the end of the year and there is almost always a shortage from October into early in the new year. This is due to mandatory manufacturing limits, once ...
