Norco Daily Dosage

My doctor gave me Percocet 7.5-325..Half a tablet twice a day, doesn't seem to be working well with my breakthrough pain. I'm also on 30mg of morphine 2x daily. Will switching over to Norco 7.5-325 2x daily help better? ## According to NIH reports, the Oxycodone in Percocet is stronger than the Hydrocodone in Norco. They also warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. However, I am curious as to why they only have you taking half a tablet, twice a day? That is a very, very low dosage. Are you on any other medications? Recently put on opany5mg with oxycodonehcll 5mg for breakthhrough pain 1 -2daily. I took the 2 this am but still feel the discomfort backwithin6hrs. Feel I need 1-2tabs of the oxycodone twice daily. ive been working to reduce my daily methadone dosage for a year now, as I've been on maintenance. I'm down from 55 mg daily to only 15mg at this point and soon enough will be free of its clutches. I've been maintaining a clean lifestyle and I don't need a lecture on addiction. My question is--can Belviq be taken with Methadone? My doctor says it completely negates any opiate based or nRcotic pain medications in the brain. Last thing I need is to be thrown into sudden horrible withdrawals. For those of you unfamiliar with the methadone maintenance treatment, you must taper from it verrrrry slowly because it has a half life in the brain of up to three days. I have been on Morphine ER, Oxycodone 20 mg x 4 daily for breakthrough! At the same time I took 120 mg of OxyContin in England, so it’s not the gel hysingla, I’ve used fentanyl patch! Everything from tylox, Norco, Vicodin etc! My doctor put me on 80mg hysingla with NO breakthrough medication! This does NOT last 24 hrs as it says and I need something for the breakthrough to function! ## How long have you been taking it? What were you taking before the Hyslinga? im a 180 pound 21 year old male and a first time user of the abg 60 and im wondering if its too much for first time. ive had the sulfates but that was years ago. I use norco 10mg about once every couple weeks for pain. I usally take 3 norco 10mg at first sign of pain lol so I am versed a lil in the opiates. ## The usual adult dosage schedule for extended release tablets such as ABG 60 (Morphine sulphate extended-release 60 mg - NDC 0591-3513) ranges from 10 mg to 600 mg daily, given in equally divided doses every 8 to 12 hours or given as one dose every 24 hours. Since the dosage gap for extended release tablets is so large, I think it's safe to say that 60mgs still sits on the lower end of the dosage spectrum. I've been on suboxone for about a month. Before I decided to face my addiction of over 10 years of opiate pain killers, I was on 80MG of Ms contin 3Xs daily, 40 of oxy as needed every 4 hours, Norco 10s 1 or 2 pills as needed every 4 hours, Xanax, Lyrica and a few others. I found a new Dr. after dealing with another weak kneed PCP whom at first seemed a good choich as he took me over from a "pain doctor" that I went to for almost three years but was tired of the look down on you attitude they gave thier patients. I was on 50mcg of Fent patch every two days, 60qty 15mg roxicodone and 150qty 10/325 Norco. I was almost managable in daily life. The new PCP would not make any changes to address managing levels. I take norco for pain maybe one every 4-5 days or 2 at the most but can not test positive at my job. I use to take it daily, 2-3 depending on pain. I completely stopped like I was told to and replaced norco with extra strength excedrin which gives some relief but sometime I need something stronger.
