I found a couple of pills in my sons room and he's not admitting to what they are and I'm determined to find out. They are yellowish and say NORCO 539 on the same side, the other is blank. Thanks. ## This tablet contains Hydrocodone 10 mg + Acetaminophen 325 mg (NDC 52544-0539 / 52544-161). What numbers would I need to look up for Norco 5 mgs? ## Hello, Lucy! How are you? I'm sorry, but there are far too many on the market for me to be able to list all the descriptions and markings for you, since Norco is available as both a brand name and generics. Are there any markings on the pill in question? That is what would enable me to check what it contains for you. Can you please post back and clarify? The tablet you mentioned in your subject like is manufactured by Physician Partner and they list it as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache.

Yellow with a v on one side an 36 slash 01 on othe, oval shape. ## Hello, Sissie! How are you? This is actually a generic for Norco. It is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 10mgs if Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Do they make a smurf blue norco that looks just like the yellow 10s with a v on one side? ## Hi Ben, I just did some research on this and wonder if you may be thinking of the imprint "V 35 97"?, which is an oval blue generic norco 10mg/650mg tablet. I don't believe they are being manufactured any longer due to the new laws restricting the amount of acetaminophen to 325mgs. But, if you want to look this pill up for verification, it also carries a National Drug Code of 00603-3885. I hope this helps! ## Is this what you are talking about? Blue Norco WES 303 ## I had the wes 303 norco10/325 they work well I haven't been able to find them at any pharmacy. ## Yes - what are they? ## Here is another medschat thread on these: Blue Norco WES 303 ## They have them in Belleville Mi...

What color is a non generic norco 10 mg and who is original manufacture. ( original norco)What color is original 10 mg norco ## There usually Watson & yellow.... ## @Cents, I believe Patrick (post #1) is right about Watson being the original manufacturer of the yellow oblong/oval shaped tablets. However, Actavis is now the company who took over and they altered the formula to make them white in their physical appearance. It was after this change that many patients also reported a significant difference in the tablet's overall effectiveness. I for one have not tried either, but if you take a look around the various related threads here on MedsChat, you may find several reviews that discuss this change from the original formula. It is widely thought that Actavis put less active in...

Been taking painkillers ( vicodin, lortab, lorcet ((discontinued)), and Norco for many years. Skiing, motorcycles, etc. Whe I started the Norco, I got them from cvs. Found out that the ones manufactured by Malincrodt were completely ineffective when compared to the Watson product. My Doc has me on the pink k56 oxy now. I picked them up, reluctantly, from cvs because of the insurance Discount. Only able to get coverage for 90 although I had a prescription for 120. My question is does anyone know if the ones I have (manufactured by KVK-Tech INC) are going to be a waste of time like the Malinkrodt norcos were. Is there a quality oxy 10mg manufacturer that is better than the others? Thank you ## Hi Scott, Looking at some of the related KVK Tech threads here, this manufacturer in particular ...

I FOUND SEVERAL PILLS THAT HAVE IMPRINT G307. I ASKED AROUND AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A NORCO 10 PAIN RELIEVER. CAN U PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THIS IS? TY ## You found or you bought a bunch of pills? Oh well anyways its hydroxyzine 10mg a antihistamine. Looks like you got ripped off. ## @original poster, You didn't mention what shape or color your pill was either? For the record, Hydroxyzine hydrochloride 10 mg tablets are listed as having a marking of 307 PA, (NOT G307); and they're manufactured by Pliva. So post #1 is wrong about its identification, unless you can prove otherwise? Depending on where or how you came about these pills, my guess is that they're probably not too common since I'm not seeing any specific details online. However, ill look forward to any updates you mig...

My husband was on morphine 30 mg and the doctor put him on Norco 10/325. Which is the strongest pill for pain? ## Someone please correct me if I'm interpreting this wrong, but according to the following opioid dosing equivalency chart by umich.edu, two 10mg Norco (Hydrocodone) tablets are reportedly equal one 30mg Morphine tablet. Here's the link for reference: med.umich.edu/1info/FHP/practiceguides/pain/dosing.pdf However, due to possible side effects, individual tolerance, body chemistry, and other personal factors, my understanding is that not all opiates provide the same type of effects or relief even at what would be considered an equivalent dose. Hope this helps! ## I've been looking everywhere for accurate information in regards to converting 30mg of morphine into the...

I have been on 16 mg of suboxone for almost a month. Last night I took 3 norco 10 mgs at the same time. It has been 15 hours can I take my suboxone? ## From what I've seen on other threads, it seems like most people recommend waiting until the norco is completely out of your system before taking suboxone (which may be an estimated 24-48 hours based on how much you took). So yeah, I get the sense that you're on the right track, but if it were me I'd probably try to wait it out for another day or so (may be easier said than done). There's also something called a Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) which you can look up online that asks you a series of questions to help you better determine when you might be in withdrawals and therefore ready to use suboxone. I hope thi...

How does this compare (strength wise) to the Norco 10mg/325? I was taking those one per four hours? ## Hello, Katy! How are you? The Oxycodone is stronger, but since it's time released and you aren't taking it as often, you're probably looking at about an equivalent level of pain relief. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

If i take two norcos 5/325 with my 60 mg dose of methadone, will i feel it? ## Nope probably not. I never do "feel it" but if you are looking for pain control it still works better than tylenol/Advil with the methadone. Any narcotics are hard to "feel" while on Methadone. ## Wont feel it at all, its like taking your pills and throwing right out your window...dont waste your time... ## Laurie, I am a clinical pain management pharmacist. Are you taking methadone for chronic pain or addiction? If for addiction, you should not be taking any other opioids with your methadone. If for pain, the answer is yes. Methadone does not block the pain relieving effects of other opioids. Dependeding on your degree of tolerance to opioids, you may get sufficient pain relieving effect. I d...

I have only been on suboxone for 4 days (8mg 1 time a day). It's my first time taking sub's. It's been 12 hours. I went to the hospital and they said I have kidney stones. I'm in a lot of pain. They gave me 10 mg norcos. I'm not looking to feel high just want pain relief. Please advise. ## Hello, Hope! How are you? Oh, I understand, I had a kidney stone a few years ago, and it was horrible. It usually takes about 3 days (72 hours), before other opiates will be effective for you, again, after taking Suboxone for a few days. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
