Yes, that might be too much for her. Did she suffer any adverse effects? That could result in overdose, if she's not opiate tolerant. Why have they changed the yellow narco to white. The white don't work ,and it takes more than one to get any relief, I have a six inch rod and screws in my neck that's needs to be redone but willing to chance it. There are some people who really need what has been working. ## Are the markings on the tablets the same? If not, then the white one was most likely manufactured by a different company, and this isn't a color change. Norco contains Acetaminophen, and Hydrocodone, and is available as a generic, so it is manufactured by several different pharmaceutical companies. The FDA warns that Norco carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constiaption, and dry mouth. Ref: Norco Information

I have been on buprenorohine 8mg, 3 times a day for the last 3 years for pain management. I have fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, and other pain issues. I have a current health issue causing me increased pain. So bad that nothing is helping with the pain. I was given 10mg norco to take for the pain. I have been off the buprenorohine for the last 27 hours. Can I take the norco and get any pain relief? If yes, how many should I take? Or do I have to wait longer? ## Hi Sam, I've seen this type of question come up a lot on here, and often see responses indicating that it's generally best to wait several days (e.g. 4-5 days) in-between Buprenorphine and other narcotic pain relievers such as Norco (Hydrocodone/APAP) - in order to be able to feel its effects. Seeing that you've wai...

My boyfriend got perscribed a blue norco with watson iand 540 on it?1000mg? what does this do?? ## Okay first off, there is no Norco that contains 1,000mgs of anything. The tablets with the WATSON 540 marking contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and constipation. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## Norco is hydrocodone just with less acetaminophen than it's famous cousin Lortab which has 500mg. There is a generic hydrocodone with 650mg acetaminophen, usually green. I familiar with 5mg, 7.5, 10mg hydrocodone and the amount of acetaminophen gives the medication it's name in this case.

How many tylenol 3 with codeine do I have to take to make the same amount as 4 norcos 10/325? ## Hello, Kalife! How are you? It takes 66.67mgs of Codeine to be equal to each 10mgs of Hydrocodone. So roughly 2 Tylenol 3 for each Norco. However, the problem is that you can't double up that much due to the dangers of overdosing on the Acetaminophen in them, because that could be fatal. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, you should only take it as prescribed by your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

My dr prescribed 120 10 mg norcos for my back pain. Instruction say take 1 every 4 to 6 hours. Most of the time I take one every 6 hours. Sometimes I have to take 1 every 4 hours for a couple or few days. This causes me to be short before my next refill. I also take tramedol so that holds me over till I wait a few days for my norco. Today my dr got mad and discharged me from her care. Im confused. She said I was not taking them correctly. I will be out now of both meds before I can get into a new dr. ## Hello, Laurie! How are you? Did you run out a few months in a row? If so, that could be why, repeatedly running short is something that doctors often consider a sign of someone abusing such medications. use and effects of narco 10mg ## Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, in this case the 10 would stand for the milligrams of Hydrocodone in it. Without knowing the imprint from the tablet or additional information from the prescription, I am unsure how much Acetaminophen it may contain. This is a narcotic analgesic, used to treat moderate to severe pain. Some common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can read more about it here: If you post back with the imprint or additional information, I can tell you that amount of Acetaminophen.

If he decides to run a UA how is it going to affect the outcome?

I've been off Percocet 10mg since January 19th 2015 in which I went from taking 4 to 8 a day to taking none. I had taken Norco 10 from 1996 until May of 2010 and had done great on the Norco but ruptured a disk in my neck & had to go to something stronger until I was evaluated for surgery. I was not a candidate for surgery so I started neurontin to try to give it time to heal. It did heal but by that time I was stuck on the percocet. Back to present day my pain has started coming back so I want to get ahead of it but not back to the percocet. My question is since my system has detoxed from the percocet, will the norco 10 help with the pain? ## Hello, Anna! How are you? The only way to find out is to try it and see. How many tylenol 3s equal a 10/325mg norco? ## Hello, Yoyo! How are you? Codeine is actually a very weak opiate, so it would take 66.67mgs of it to equal each 10mg Hydrocodone. But, you can't double up, without your doctor's permission, due to the Acetaminophen in them. Taking too much of it in any 24 hour period could result in fatal toxicity, liver damage or liver failure. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Why would a doctor switch a person that's been on Hydrocodone-Apap 7.5/325mg to Tylenol 3?
