What is a round yellow flat pill with "novo | 40" on one side and blank on the other? It was given to me for pain. ## Hi Chris, A 'D-shaped' light brown (may be perceived as yellow) pill marked with novo 40 is reportedly identified as famotidine 40 mg, made by Teva in Canada. For verification, the Drug Identification Number (DIN) is listed as 02022141. Famotidine is marketed for use in treating symptoms of GERD, stomach ulcers and heartburn, among other uses. If you think your pill may be different, I would probably recommend contacting Teva Canada directly just to get a second opinion since the shape or color may be changed by the manufacturer without any prior public announcement. Hope this helps! ## I found a yellow round pill with 40 on one side and novo on the other...

I purchase Topzole p40 . Is there a generic which I can purchase over the counter, " pharmacy " everytime I need to get a prescription ? ## TopZole contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a "prescription-only" medication here in the US; used to treat erosive esophagitis and other conditions involving excess stomach acid. A family member of mine takes Prilosec (Omeprazole) - which is regarded as an over the counter alternative for these same types of conditions. I'd imagine though, that it may or may not be quite as efficient compared to its prescription counterpart, but certainly worth a try if you need something for excess stomach acid. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Omeprazole Details I hope this helps!

I was told that these yellow round pills are 40 mg oxycontin (oxycodone), where are they from, I know they are not from the U.S, if there real, but does any one know what they could be? or anything about these yellow round pill? ## @momtg, Without an imprint to signify what it is, who makes it, or how much of whatever it is it contains, determining anything at all is merely speculation. However many pain patients who are unable to receive appropriate care in the US often resort to finding their medication(s) off the internet. And I do know that the country of India is a big player in this game of web-based pharmacies, importing both counterfeits and real meds alike. So depending on how you came across this pill, that possibility might be something to take into account upon determining i...
