It may however be an unpleasant taste, but if you do it with little amounts of water you can drink it quickly and then wash it down with more water afterwards. Can it be taken for ear infection ## Hello, Kim! How are you? If you think you have an ear infection and want to take antibiotics for it that were leftover from treating something else, no you should not do so. The presence of an infection needs to be confirmed by your doctor and then the proper antibiotic prescribed in the proper amount. If you don't have enough to completely eradicate an infection it creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Is there anything else I can help with?

light yellow, 50mg. I have developed a very itchy rash on my arms, I have open sores and they burn like a shingles blister. I think it is this med. Has anyone else had this kind of reaction? It is making my skin lumpy and they are unbearably itchy. I have blood stains on my sheets and pillowcases due to scratching in the night while asleep. ## Have you contacted your doctor? A non-allergic skn rash can be a normal side effect, but this really sounds like a more serious problem than that and you might need to switch to a different medication.

I have been having recurrent utis for a long time, so I went to a specialist (urologist) to see what was causing them and if he could do something to stop me from getting them as much. I usually get one every 3-5 weeks. Very frequently. He put me on nitrofur and at first it seemed fine like it was working but then I started feeling REALLY sick. I have been taking Nitrofur for 6 days. Around the 4th day I became extremely tired (to the point where I felt like I couldn't function the next day). Is this a side effect of this drug? ## Nitrofurantoin can cause nausea and vomiting, fever, rash, hypersensitivity pneumonitis. It can also cause pulmonary fibrosis. However, according to my research, all these side effects are much more common in the elderly. I haven't found any information regarding fatigue, but if you are experiencing any of the side effects above, it could be a contributing factor to feeling exhausted.
