has anyone experienced nightmares with Multaq? Have been taking 400mg 2 times a day for 1 month now and am at the point where I don't want to close my eyes at night (althought it's better than the alternative)....also experience excessive bloating. ## The Multaq does cause bloating. You'll hear a lot of people complaining of gas issues. Multaq for me is causing Hair loss, didn't always until recently. Ive been taking it for 7 months. I get the following side effects; Hair loss, bloating, tiredness sometimes, not always, numbness in my left thigh occasionally, and ringing in my ears, this too just recently. I def would not take the drug, unless absolutely had to, which I do because of my PAC's. My Afib was cured by ablation, thank God. But since I have terrible PAC...

Hi I took my first dose of doxepin 25mg last night and feel so out of it today ,really weird spaced out how long will this last as I cant afford time off work please help ## Hello, Amanda! How are you feeling? Has it eased up, at all, yet? Some people can experience that with antidepressants, when they first start taking them. Other side effects may include nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight changes. But they usually don't last more than a few weeks, while your body is adjusting to the medication.

Hi...I'm looking at the list of side effects and it doesn't state nightmares...lol. But if i take over 2mg i get nightmares. I took 3mg by accident again tonight and had a horrible nightmare. I don't over take my meds but being upset i forgot. Anyone else get nightmares? Thanks. ## Usually, you'll find it listed in detailed side effects as dream abnormalities, and it is included for Xanax by the FDA, as a common side effect, which means it's been reported in more than 1%, but no more than 10% of the people that tried this medication. They also warn that Xanax carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability, and other mood changes. I had a bad reaction to Nubain when recovering from surgery, back in my room on morphine IV drip. The nurse gave it to me and I think she was incompetent or worse. It wiped out the morphine and I immediately felt the impact of my surgery post-op. I was miserable for hours, they gave me emergency pain intervention to bring me back to where I was before she gave me the Nubain. It was a terrible experience. ## Wow, that's terrible, very sorry it happened to you. Did they provide you with any explanation for it?

Had third Prolia shot 6 weeks ago and my life has changed dramatically. Nasea, headaches, numbness, tingling, weakness, back pain... I was very active and now am barely able to get out of bed! Four doctor visits, all kinds of tests, one ER visit and tests all normal. I am not crazy - it is the Prolia!!!! Don't do it. There are other more natural options to help with bone density. I regret getting this shot. By the way, first two shots had no significant side effects but the third one was debilitating!!!! ## Hello, Rennie! How are you doing? I am so very sorry about what you've been through. Has there been any change? Unfortunately, most of these medications can cause such side effects, according to FDA reports. There are reports on here from many people that have had bad experie...

What causes someone to awake in a frightened and confused state from a nap or from sleeping? ## Hello, Missy! How are you? A nightmare can do that, some medications, stress, alcohol, illegal drugs, illness… there are many reasons that this may happen, according to the NIH. How often has it been happening? Were there nightmares involved? Does the person have sleep apnea? Are they on any medications? Do they drink frequently?

I've been taking Fortesta in the morning, but as I'm always rushing, sometimes I forget. I would rather take at night - helps me maintain a more reliable schedule - is that a huge problem? I know all the literature seems to indicate to take in the AM. Also, I am currently on four pumps. Is that a normal/typical dose and how many of you guys have experienced weight gain with this. Thanks, ## Hello, JT! How are you? The instructions do say to use it in the morning and it is know that our hormones can fluctuate throughout the day, so there may be good reason they tell you to use it then. Thus, I'd suggest asking your doctor, before you make the change. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything el...

I am using opana 40er twice a day and Norco 10/325 for breakthru pain. I have Severe night sweats and go through 6 t- shirts and 4 pair of boxers a night. I use 4 pillows wrapped in towels and have to do wash every AM. The towels and the pillows are soaked with sweat. Is there anyone out there who has experienced this? My Pain doc thinks it's the opana, but she admits she is not even sure. I am willing to change my meds completely as long as I am not having the night sweats. I Truly have no quality of sleep and don't want to live like this anymore. Can Anyone Help Me? ## Unfortunately, doctors don't receive the same intense training on medications that pharmacists do, so they don't always know all the possible side effects. I was doing great until I took Viibryd for 1 month @40mg...Then I developed: extreme fatigue, nausea, vomiting, painful, burning red rash on both legs and swelling of hands, feet and legs. This caused a 12 pound weight gain over night! I tapered off of Viibryd as quickly as I could due to the extreme pain from the rash. I been off of Viibryd for 7 days and rash is gone! I thought I was going to do good coming off of this drug, but nausea, vomiting, confusion, dizziness, suicidal thoughts, extreme depression and panic attacks are bad!! If you have not started this drug, I would recommend you research before taking it. It may help some but in my case it just caused more pain, disappointment and sickness......... ## HI, DC! I am very sorry about the problems you suffered from taking the Vi...

I spent almost 2 years with awful leg and lower back pain seeing Dr.s from all over the place trying all kinds of back injections and Meds with no relief. I was seeing my PA when the AVINZA rep. came in. The drug was new and they said it was the best thing out there. I liked the fact that I only took it 1 time a day as a posed to (as needed ). It worked great and for the 1st time in years that I did not have pain every minute of every day I was so excited to be able to walk my dog and do some work again I did not do my homework looking into the new Med. I was about 4-5 mo. Into it when I found out the cost and the addictiveness of that much. It's 6 years later and with the cost and the insurance covering only half I have to come off this. I'm 63 and scared to death. I am going t...

I was on 40 mg of Celexa for about a year when I started getting terrible night sweats - in the winter. I attributed it to a heated mattress pad for a while but nothing seemed to help, so I started researching and found that sweating can be a side effect of the drug. The strange thing is that I didn't have a problem with it until after a year of taking it! Is this possible? I saw my doc who insisted it wasn't the Celexa because I hadn't had the symptom from the beginning, but I started cutting my pills in half anyway, so now I take 20 mg a day. It seemed to help for a while, but now my night sweats are out of control again and it is driving me crazy. Is it possible for the med to build up gradually in the body and cause symptoms much later? ## Hello, Allynchica! How are you?...

Does anyone else awaken from their sleep almost in zombie mode while on Effexor? It usually takes me a good 5 minutes to completely collect my thoughts. Lol ## Yes, that can be a normal side effect of most antidepressants, according to FDA reports. They can cause REM onset latency, which means it takes longer to enter the deep dreaming REM phase of slumber and you spend a shorter amount of time in it than usual. This can cause disrupted sleep, odd/unusual dreams, and difficulty awakening. How long have you been taking it? I've found that things usually improve after a few weeks of taking them.

I was on Cymbalta for 4 months, worked my way up to 120 mg. Experienced "brain zaps" and terrible twitching of my extremities. Decided to wean off with the help of my psychiatrist. Weaned off very slowly, even dumping out half of the last two weeks of capsules (bringing down the 20 mg tabs to 10 mg tabs). I have been totally off Cymbalta now for 2.5 weeks. My pain/discomfort is normally an 8 out of 10 but now it's a 9.5 out of 10. Feeling horrible! Head pain, nausea, dizziness, frequent hot flashes. Feel like I would rather be dead. This is a horrible drug. I hear it helps people (didn't help me at all) but if you ever have to come off of it, fasten your seat belt as it will be an awful ride! ## Hello, Catarin! Hi all, I have been on Pristiq for 5+ years. Soon after I began, I started dealing with night sweats. Not just mild sweat - I'm talking my PJs and sheets are drenched. It is awful! The night sweats have come and go over the years but are currently very bad. I can't seem to get much information on the internet about this side effect being an issue for many people. Has anyone else experienced night sweats from taking Pristiq? ## Hi Erin, According to the manufacturer, sweating is actually one of the most common side effects people experience from taking Pristiq (Desvenlafaxine). However, nih.gov happens to list "sweating" as both a 'general' and 'serious' side effect here: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a608022.html Have you already made your doctor ...

Hi I have taken allergex many times before as I am extremely allergic with no major side effects. I am in the middle of exams so I decided to take one allergex at night to help me sleep and to prevent allergies but I am feeling really paranoid and I get nightmares that keep me up all night. Can it be because of the allergex or is this just due to exam stress? ## Hello, Suzi! How are you doing? It is rather difficult to say what might be causing it, it could be do to either one. Medications can definitely do that, but so can stress and worrying. If it continues, you should consult your doctor for assistance. Is there anything else I can help with? ## All is good I have decided rather not to use the allergex and have not had any problems since.. I think it was just stress related though, ...
