drug for colitis, diarhoeas ## Hi , I am from Turkey. I have E.coli intolerans which is based on intestinal system flora.It causes at lot of problem like diarrhea,colic etc. everyday if i don't use any drugs.and this problem can solve by two ways; antibiotics and Nifuroxazide. But antibiotics are not propose for continuous usage. I have to use any of them continuously because when any stop using them, this problem starts again in about one week-one month max. Can i use nifuroxazide contains drugs everyday at low dosage or not?How can i use it? Is it causes any problem on my intestinal system? I was prescribed nifuroxazide (200 mg per day), or one capsule per day, for a period of 6 months to help prevent urinary tract infections. After 4 days, I have experienced a severe migraine. I am allergic to sulfa drugs or any derivative or relative of them (such as Mopral). Is nifuroxazide a sulfa relative or derivative?

Ercerfuryl contains the active ingredient Nifuroxazide, this is an antibiotic, most commonly used in Hong Kong to treat Colitis and Diarrhea. It should not be used with the vaccine for Typhoid, as it can reduce its effectiveness.
