I'm diabetic. Neuropathy is a big problem with my feet specially at night. I was taking lyrica, I call it a miracle pill for me. The only huge problem with Lyrica was gained so much weight but only in my stomach. I was so happy with Lyrica that never payed attention. Till one day my nephew asked me if I was pregnant. Stopped the meds and tried everything else but nothing works. ## I've been taking Lyrica or (Gabapentin) 300mg 3-4 daily for 5 yrs now and I do notice I do eat more, especially if suboxone is added to the mix. I occasionally take suboxone, maybe once a month for 5-7days to break up the pain meds I take, or if I simply run out. Anyways, yes, it all goes to my stomach. Also, maybe more people will post saying the same thing as I'm sure it's a side effect, but ...

Hello, I have chronic pain in my feet, legs and hands from neuropathy (nerve pain). I have taken all the normally prescribed Rx for this pain. I started going to a Pain Management Dr. trying to find relief. Has any one used Opana Er for this type of pain and got good results? I am at my wits end and need some relief just so I can do normal things around the the house. ## Opana is a very potent narcotic analgesic, so it has successfully helped many people with various types of pain. As listed by the FDA, it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, only your doctor can help you decide what would be best for you to try next. Are you seeing a pain management specialist? ## I have terrible ...

I had hearing problem for a few months .I consulted an ENT specialist who cleared wax of my ears and advised me to take Neurobion Forte tablets 3 times daily for 3 months.I have taken the tablets for 9 or 10 days when my blood pressure increase. Are the doses of Neurobion Forte prescribed for me overdoses? Have I to reduce doses? ## Neurobion Forte is a multivitamin supplement. Since it contains a complex of B vitamins, as well as some others, you do have to be careful how much you take, since too much of them can be as dangerous as not enough. Normally this multivitamin is only taken once a day, so three times a day might be too much. Learn more B vitamins details here. Have you talked to your doctor about it? I have had migraines since I was 13. Recently, last 4 months, found that Oxycodone takes the pain, auora, and naseau away in about an hour, and keeps it away for up to 8 hours. This is a miracle. No other migraine drug ever worked like this. Now, with the new laws, my primary won't prescribe this. I need to locate a migraine doctor that will treat me. I only get one or two headaches a month, and take 1-2 pills for them, so I am only needing 4 to 6 pills a month, but still impossible to get them. They really are a life changer for migraine sufferers. I wish someone had tried these on me 30 years ago. My life would have been a lot easier. ## Due to the new regulations, you'll need to see a specialist, so that could be either someone specializing in pain management, or a neurologis...

My treatment for the pain i experience from this chronic disease is MS. Contin and Oxycodone. This treatment works very well for me and i trying many different meds and therapeutic treatments and i would not want to mess with it. Will Neurologist perscribe this type of medication for someone with will be on it indefinitely? ## Hello, Michael! How are you? It depends on the neurologist, though in most cases, you'll be sent to a pain management specialist to prescribe and monitor your medications. The FDA classifies these as narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does this medicine safe for patient with diabetis 2 suffering from neuropathy with long term medication? ## Is supraneuron safe on patients with diabetis when it comes to long-term medication? ## We at CaliforniaHealthPlans always advice our client not to take medicine without the prescription of a doctor, specially in diabetic cases. Have a multitude of chronic pain issues and can not find doctor to help me.Have medical records with me. Reports from Neurologist, Rhuematologist, Pain Treatment Center, Physiatrist, MRI's, CT Scan and three years of pharmacy records. Being treated like a drug addict. Without meds for three months. (Percocet 10/325). Not functioning and very sick. Can anyone help me? ## How have you been looking for a doctor? The reason I'm asking is because the biggest mistake I see many people making in your situation is calling a new doctor and asking if they will prescribe a particular medication. If you do that, doctors and their staff will view it as drug seeking behavior and, in many cases, you won't even get in the door. What you need to do is set up an appointment with a new pain ma...

I am experiencing back(severe) pain right from back to the end of feet. Consulted many specialists including Orthos but no satisfactory result could be achieved. Most of them prescribed nothing but pain relieving tablets that could provide relief only for a period of time.Added to this I was advised to take Neurobeon Forte for considerable periods. My request to you is to clarify (1) What is the way to get permanent cure from this ? (2) Consuming NeurobeonForte will do any damage to the system?

My neurologist has me taking 1200 Mg of gabapentin and my pain specialist increased that to 3000 Mg a day. Will that big of an increase cause me any problems or side effects? ## Hi Susie, Based on my research, many patients are being told that 1,800mg is the maximum recommended dose for nerve pain. Although another drug article I found states that, "Efficacy was demonstrated in clinical studies over a range of 1800 mg/day to 3600 mg/day. However, no additional benefit was demonstrated from the use of doses over 1800 mg/day." - I'm not sure if your pain specialist is aware of this? Regarding side effects, there's always a risk involved with any prescription medication. But if you're taking an increased dose, it's likely that your risk of experiencing certain side ...

My Humana insurance will not approve Savella for me. My neurologist sent in a special request for it and it was still denied. I was taking samples that my Dr. was giving to me but that has run out. That is a hoop insurance companies expect you to go through. One of those other, less expensive meds ,may help you, your insurance company is hoping. Don't give up. Your insurance company can tell you and your doctor, which meds you need to try, to fulfill this requirement! ## My insurance (Wellmark Alliance Select) will not pay for Savella either regardless of letters my Dr has sent. I have an extremely painful oral Neuropathy of 3 cranial nerves for three years. I have had to travel out of state to see Specialists in both Oral Facial Pain and Neurology. There is no cure for this problem. Have tried acupuncture and Homeopathy without any improvement. The only thing that can be done is efforts at reducing the neurologic pain, the pain cannot be stopped. I take an antiseizure med Gabapentin (Neurontin) and also brand Valium 5 mg. every 12 hours. While I have health insurance, I have been paying outrageous Copays for Brand Valium. So at my request, the physician wrote for the Generic Diazepam.
