I take 150 mg of Lyrica per day for neuropathy. Can this cause a false positive for methamphetamine in a mouth swab? ## Hi Jenny, To my understanding Lyrica (Pregabalin) isn't chemically related to methamphetamine at all. They are categorized into two separate drug classifications, induce different effects and have different pharmacology altogether. Seldom do I even hear of them both being used in the same paragraph. Lol.... If you took Lyrica and got a reading for methamphetamine, the only thing I could suspect is that the drug panel was faulty/inaccurate by design. My thoughts are, if you were able to take a Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) analysis on the same day as the mouth swab, it's pin point accuracy would've proved whether the mouth swab wa...

anxiety. round pill small ## Sorry, nothing is listed under that name, could you please double check the spelling? Is is possibly Ativan? ## Pharmacology of Drug ATIPAM GENERIC-Lorazepam Mechanism of Action Lorazepam mainly acts on Limbic system and ascending reticular formation in the CNS and it binds to the BZD receptor. The binding will facilitates GABA mediated chloride channel opening and produce hyperpolarisation. This will produce an increase in the concentration of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA and chloride ions and decreases firing rate of neurons. These alter normal excitatory functions of the body. Lorazepam is used as adjuncts in anaesthesia for anxiolysis, amnesia and sedation prior to induction of anaesthesia Pharmaco Kinetics Absorption: It is well absorbed after o...
