5 mg butrans patch
2 Replies RSS
Hi there, I've been looking online for information on how to get off the butrans patch (5mg) I have been on now for about 3 years. I was placed on this due to a spinal infection and the lingering affects due to nerves thereof - a general diagnosis has been possible lyme/west nile - whatever it is/was - I am still (4 yrs. later numb from the knees down - numbness is intermittent and moves about from knees down to feet). Still on a walker as whatever this was took out my left leg in particular however my right leg is fine. It's been a trip - but I'll beat it - darn if I won't. All said, though and back to topic - has anyone any suggestions on how to "get off" this butran's patch - the lowest dose ? Can I just take the darn thing off and ride it out or is this d... ...

I was on 300mg/daily for 2 1/2 years for nerve pain. Bad s--- for sure. See if you can get some L-Tryptophan and some 5-HPT to ease the discontinuation. Remember, ALL SSRI's are harmful, they alter the neuro pathways of the brain, sometimes irreversibly. God be with you, Love and Light, Brad ## my husband was put on gabapentin 300mg for neuropathic pain. When it comes to addiction treatment, most doctors will not provide such treatment outside of a clinic, because they do have to follow certain laws and treatment protocols, in order to... ...

keto/gaba/lido/amit 30 gm is what I got and the second day I used it I had terrible diarrhea and my eyes had a foggy look when I tried to see. Also does this effect the nerve in the brain because I am off balance a lot? I am almost afraid to use it. Why doesn't this web site give some of the side effects? ## Hello, Omie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've had. The reason the side effects aren't listed anywhere is because this a specialty compounding product. It isn't something that's standardly available at any pharmacy and the ingredients can vary from doctor to doctor, depending on what they feel will best help their patients. Specifically, the ingredients in this one are Ketoprofen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory; Lidocaine, which is a... ...

You're really not going to find a doctor to just prescribe them and not worry about it. That's just not possible, anymore. They are held responsible for their prescribing practices, now. The best thing to do would be to set up an appointment with a PCP in your new area and then have them refer you to someone for pain management. Sorry about what you're going through. However, the problem is that a private doctor is not allowed to prescribe Methadone for addiction/maintenance treatment, they can only prescribe it for severe, chronic pain. Replacing Dr. Derakhshan
9 Replies RSS
Now that Dr. Derakhshan cant help my chronic pain by filling/refilling meds, where can I go? My primary care doctor is afraid to help me. I failed a test (a nerve pill unprescribed) and I get weird looks now. Meanwhile, I really hurt and have much medical background showing documenting my pain. ## I doubt you can find a Dr to manage your pain. Any new Dr will get copies of your medical records and they will see that you take medications that aren't prescribed to you. If you signed a pain contract you also broke that. Drs won't prescribe pain meds to patients they can't trust. ## That's a shame. That test was almost five years ago now and it was just a nerve pill. ## Billy, if you legitimately made a mistake then try not to get discouraged. Having medical records of your ... ...

If you're able to give me more detail, I can definitely do some research and look at the other options you have. Until then, I would like to recommend acupuncture and essential oils. There are studies that can prove the accuracy of both those methods for pain. I've personally had acupuncture performed on a painful nerve in my foot and it helped tremendously.
